I understand your point but, they do repeat numbers. I rely on this site to check unknown numbers. Spoofing obviously makes it a bit more difficult. I finally blocked an entire area code in Florida because of all of the calls from different numbers. I don't know anyone in Florida so, no problem.

It actually has nothing to do with spelling, more to do with the connection between your brain and your fingers when typing. I used to be a whiz at spelling, all through school I won spelling competitions. I was an avid reader with a huge vocabulary, most of which I could spell. But with the age of the computer, we are typing straight from brain to keyboard, unlike the old visual typing from the written page. I often catch myself doing the their\there\they're mixup. I have also been guilty of the lose\loose one. So really, before you feel all superior because you know the difference between lose\loose, I suggest do a bit of introspection. Besides, some of the most intelligent people ever to walk this planet, were lousy spellers. Sorry, not a sign of intelligence or education.

So people make mistakes,typing faster then the brain and thoughts- BF&D! Typo gremlins happen, get over it!

All the complaints about the word "loosing" and no one noticed the apostrophe that should not be ?

The rules for using the apostrophe to indicate possession do not apply to pronouns.
His, hers, its, ours, theirs.
It is the non-pronouns that have to use apostrophes.

I never ever call a number back unless they leave me a message.  There is a reason why we get calls from the same numbers over and over again with no message.  It can only be one thing - someone looking to seperate me from my cash.  No thank you.  If you want to speak to ME or do business with ME you will leave a message.

I never use Zip Codes and make the operator dial all my long distance calls.

Your post takes me back - I used to live in a town that time sort of passed over.  I was able to call others in town using only five digits (on a rotary dial phone...)
