Why does 800notes.com block postings with "post pending moderator approval" ???

- William replies to zeus| 3 replies"Sandbox" means many things these days.
For computer operating systems, it means a method of isolating a program from accessing certain parts of the operating system.
For homeowners, it is a place for their children to play that is also used by cats as a bathroom, thus necessitating scooping to remove unwanted smelly lumpy material, and hosing down to dilute any liquids dispensed by any animals. - MzFish replies to William| 1 replyBrilliantly said William🤓
- CelticDragon replies to zeus| 3 repliesLook for BigA's post where he mentions doing a search.

I tend not to read long winded posts, sorry but I find them tedious and boring. Can I still play in the sandbox with you guys?? 🙄 - MidNYteStorm| 1 replyThis doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Maybe the focus should be on the phone number threads in the hope of helping others with telemaggoters.
- post pending moderator approval
- zeus replies to Williamyour third line has 800notes covered.
- zeus replies to MidNYteStormwhich is what the op was doing until someone decided he couldn't.
- zeus replies to CelticDragoncraigs allows dealer postings for a fee.
- B-Edwards replies to BlueBaruWith all due respect to your work on the topic, along with the defining and refining, this could be a case of the Effect speaks louder than the Intention of the OP. Message boards move mighty fast, and if a series of posts read as repetitive, there is a risk they will be seen as spam, no matter what the intention was. I am suspicious of posts that look too much like a copy/pasta jobs. Shills and some trolls love copy/pastas, so I confess a bias. The reality is that most of the regular posters do rely on the technique for speed. There may be no "right or wrong". The topic is interesting and worth thinking about.
- B-Edwards replies to MzFishCats Everywhere Agree with William and MzFish. Meow.
- Resident47 replies to BlueBaruI don't run any part of the site, I'm not Admin, and I had nothing to say to Admin regarding RPM as I was unfamiliar with his output. I was merely first to reply and offered an educated guess. After a short review of the person's posting history, my reply stands. It can be seen, and maybe I should say "perceived", as spam in many cases.
This is admittedly not the "original intent" meaning of spam in the sense of blind spewing of unpaid advertising. What I see is a repetition of verbiage and little detail across many threads. This makes me question the veracity of complaints and the reliability of their authors, and I really don't care what their post counts are.
On the morning of 08 May RPM had one word only for a given caller, "Scammer". The term was repeated in the name input field. That to me rises to indiscriminate. Any such non-comment could be placed in eight thousand places here. It has about the same intrinsic informational value as a horoscope.
Forty-eight minutes prior in the same thread, "Annoyed" deployed the same two lines about a "scammer trying to scam cars off Craigslist from over 1000 miles away" which RPM likes to repeat, and also wrote "Scammer" where a name belongs. So now we're back to discussing another common spammer behavior, the rotation of user aliases to diffuse suspicion.
Maybe RPM began in a sincere posture "years and years" ago, but his approach is not helping my confidence in his reporting. We might underline here that moderator limbo is not the same as deleting or rejecting content. It's another tool for encouraging responsible use of this site as a resource rather than a dumping ground. - Korey Bayles| 2 repliesI have noticed that many of my posts have been flagged with the post pending moderator approval thing. The latest one I was trying to respond to an old person that wanted us all to work together to stop the scam calls and I told her that there is no way to stop them other than using a call blocker app that you could get for free on Google Play. I did not even mention any particular one as there are many of free ones available. And that post got flagged. So, sometimes I think it is personal and petty and has nothing to do with spam.
- Moe replies to RPM SCAMBUSTER| 1 replyI agree that reporting recurring calls that are identical in content but constitute separate occurrences in time are valuable from a data gathering perspective since they furnish statistical information about the frequency and longevity of the scamming operation. This is a purpose cited in the homepage.
- hellhound hunter replies to Korey BaylesYes, there do seem to be a few really hateful, angry people on here. There's always a few bad apples in the bunch. If you go against what they say they will report you and then you will be flagged. As you say it is personal and petty and very immature. But what's new? The internet is full of that.
