My "debt collector" is called Jennifer Cruz. Does any one know her real name?

After filing acomplaint with the BBB I was advised to never pay them anything. I had received harassing phone calls for 2 years.  I haven't heard from them in months after reporting them....now I got a letter from Lisa C. Langford @ CCrecovery offering a final settlement of 249.99 if paid in 15 days.  

Give up already....I don't pay scammers!!

I have sent a registered letter and filed a complaint with authorities because they are trying to collect over 600.00 for a listing that I never ordered. This is a definite scam.

Got a call yesterday with a very aggressive Indian man named "Rick William" claiming to be from Yellow Pages, played along with him for a bit to make him think I was a sucker.  He started asking questions like he was some sort of cop as if I had done something wrong, when I told him I was not interested in his services he offered to give me a cancellation # filled with many other details - asking me if I was a manager or administrator.  I told him my name was "Cash" (while we are giving each other fake names, why not?) and then I started asking all the questions as if I were the cop.  He then told me the Owner of my company told him to call, little did he know I knew he was full of it because I work side by side with the owner, didn't tell him that!  So he mentioned that they had given us 3 years of free, and again cancellation # blah blah etc, I asked him again the name of the company he was calling from, he replied "Business Yellow Pages" which is not YP in my book, so I told him he falsely used our company information without authorization, and to make a check out to "Cash" (ME) for the sum of $1200.00 USD for the (3) years of unauthorized listings, he stuttered as I followed up asking him to give me the number of his accounting department.  *Hangup*  I suggest anyone who reads this follow these instructions or you might get suckered by some ridiculous verbal contract.

Has anyone had these companies actually take you to collections or court. Or do they just try to harass you on end?

Please beware:  Received bill for 2Years BOLD LISTING $486.86 with walking fingers logo. We have never done business with this company. 888 number goes to generic automated voicemail that doesn't identify the business. We have reported this to the FTC with a copy of the invoce.

I also not Un-knowing signed a Yellow Pages form thinking I was just updating our office Information. They keep calling and saying we owe $1,140. I was freaking out and losing sleep over having to tell my boss what happened. The company's name is going my Yellow Marketing LTD. They send faxed with no "From" Info. And saying how we are going to collections and my signature stands for whole office. They are asking for a check and for our office to indicate our account number on the back of the check (NOT HAPPENING) They have a Tel# 1-888-893-1696 (No number found on white pages) Fax 1-888-935-4308. Email davidwest@yellow-marketing.net They also have that they are located in Germany and I'm in PA. Telling my boss today, wish me luck. More mad at my self that I didn't notice it was not actualy yellowpages, but it had the logo and said not a bill.

I went through the same exact thing and have e-mailed them to stop and they called to say they will be out off office until Monday. Waiting to call them and figure out who they are and make them stop.

Same thing happened to me. What happened since?

We had the same thing except the so called legal rep is KateWilson@yellow-marketing.net. Otherwise same amount and numbers. Even the mailing address in Germany and we are in MN.
