What a collection agency that uses no paper? I am totally with the lady from Staples. It's kind of funny though.

Keep in mind, all telemarketers are just trying to advertise, and there is a real human being on the other side of the phone who is just doing his/her job.

I don't necessarily agree with taunting or otherwise dragging the conversation out if you are not interested.

The most polite, respectful thing to do which is good for both parties is to simply say "No thanks, I'm not interested" and hang up.

Not getting it huh? If someone owes someone money, they call this "collection agency" up and tells them where they can find him. The "collection agency" then goes and finds the guy and beats the guy with "clubs" and (hopefully soon) "tasers", until the guy pays up.

The most polite thing, is to call people that request your services. Cold calling does not work, and never has. They only do it so that they can intimidate the elderly or emotionally insecure people into buying things they don't need.
