Man impersonating DEA agent (heavy hispanic accent) calls, threatening jail unless admitting to drug related charges and making a deal with him.

I just got a VM from this guy and am not about to call him back.  Are you sure he's a fake?

Guy called and said he was with the DEA in San Francisco and there was a warrant out for my arrest unless I sent $2000 to the Dominican Rep by Western Union funds immediately. Some internet drug thing. Total scam.

THIS IS A SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money for fictitious crimes or extort personal info.

Lets put this to rest.  Its a scam pure and simple.  People, please disregard and ignore anyone calling and representing themselves as a dea (or any other type of federal or law enforcement agent).

YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR.  This is completely fake and NOTHING will happen to you or your family, These jerks have absolutely no power over you whatsoever unless you let them by falling for their nonsense.

If you have the gumption, try and keep them on the line as long as possible.  Make-up any information they are requesting from you on the spot.  Keep them talking, pretend you are scared and maybe, you will be able to obtain mailing addresses, real phone or fax numbers, or any other information you can use to assist the REAL authorities in apprehending these fools.

If you're not in the mood for any of their games, remind them that impersonating a federal officer or agent is a felony and watch how quickly they will disappear!  Rest easy and think to yourself that this type of call is utter BS.  Take control and tell these guys where to go!

It is very important to file an FCC complaint anytime you receive calls like this.  If enough complaints are registered, eventually these calls may stop.

I just now received a call from a totally fake DEA guy with a Hispanic accent. I was very terse and told him, "That's a lie. Stop calling us." And then I hung up.

I received a similar call in February, but at that time, the phone number the guy was calling from was: 443-288-3117

It was because of the February call that I knew that this guy was a fake. The DEA does NOT just call and ask to speak with someone just out of the blue. The government may have its problems, but that's not the way they conduct business with its citizenry.

I asked the guy to repeat the name of the person he was calling, to stall him long enough to write down his number from my Caller ID.

Just got a call from him. The beauty of it is he didn't even get my name right after hearing it in the voicemail greeting. While I intend to report him for fraud and extortion, I kinda want to call the number from a pay phone and constantly harass him. I wish I had an auto-dialer.

I received the same phone call from this Eric William from the "DEA".  He gave me some 866 phone number to call back, but called from 805-351-3556.  The 805 phone number is a Verizon landline in Ventura, Ca.  The 866 number, according the records on the internet, is not a valid phone number.  The actueal DEA's numbers are completely different.  Do not fall for it

This guy called, (javier pena) who in fact is a well known dea agent. only problem is they dont call people they want to arrest. YES THIS GUY IS A FAKE. He makes you quiver and you worry it's real but its not. NO agency would ever ask you to Western Union funds to another country.

i got the same call from the same number. i know immediately it was not official and let him continue. I asked him what division he was in and what jurisdiction he was in charge of. Obviously nobody asked him because he told me he would have his supervisor call me back.

This guy told me he was from the DEA and asked how I was doing. Before he could even start his little scam speech, told him too eff off and hung up on him.

An unwanted call from this Newbury Park VOIP number arrived today.  When the answering machine picked up, there was dead silence.  This is the calling card of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who shamelessly prey on the public.

CID: Oxnard, CA - looks like this number is being used again. Did not answer, they did not leave message.

It's been 7 years since this number was used as a scam law enforcement.  February 2018:  I answered the phone and then someone hung up (same as the last two reports in 2018).  I immediately tried to call the number back and it rang and rang and rang -- no one answering and no voice mail.  TREAT IT AS A SCAM!

Caller asked if we wanted any repairs done to the house.

Got another call from them, after getting one a month ago. Again, no message. Just don't answer and let them identify themselves and leave a message.

Answered. Delay. Boiler Room. Woman said they offer home repair or remodel services. I said no thanks then called back. No answer
