calling back no answer. Let me kno if u find anything out - c replies to Vd| 1 replyI would call to say I am attorney, not giving them any specific names, and see how they respond. The fellow who called me left the name of Special Agent William Wright. I cannot call because my voice is too recognizable. Be sure to block your number before you call them again by dialing *67, then 1-443-478-9016.
Keep me posted on this site, ok - CdBtw. This am I called wash d. C. DEA (real one) and explained to
receptionist situation. She asked name of agent
I told her William wright. She looked his name up
and said no such nAme in wash Balt dea. I said
name mite b William smith hard to understand
she looked it up said there were 2 William s that worked
there but neither worked job that would fit call
that I described. She said there is Internet scam
going around which I did read about. FYI. Vd. - RD| 2 repliesI got the call today too, same threatening story as yours. He had me going, but then he just said "have your attorney call us immediately" and hung up on me without ever giving me a number (I got his number from caller ID), so I think this is some sort of scam, though I don't know what because they didn't ask me for money.. The 443 area code goes to Maryland, which is across the river from Washington DC, but according to the DEA website there aren't any DEA divisions in Baltimore, as the message says. I think it's a scam, it happened before (http://www.drugbuyers.com/freeboard/ubbthread ... e_call_from_DEA)
- c replies to RD| 1 replyI have not recieved anything telling me when my court date is, but I have reason to believe this is NOT a scam. Have you heard anymore? W\
When the phone is answered at that number, it is a DEA office and it sounds pretty legit. - JBI got the same call today, I was told that I had to appear in court in Baltimore in January, I had to get an attorney right away, that I could enter a plea bargain and pay a fine. He asked if I knew that what I had done was a crime. When I asked him why he was asking all these questions, he said get an attorney and give me a call back.
This is really despicable. This man is preying on people and he should be stopped. I called back a few minutes ago and asked that he mail or fax verification of the court charges etc. and that this really is a federal DEA office. We'll see. - jDEA Agent William Wright called me and then said I had 2 options to either pay a fine immediately to the DEA of Cuba for purchasing online drugs several years ago or otherwise get a subpoena to be filed tomorrow where I would then be most likely found guilty and convicted with a ,minimum jail time of 3-12 months in a federal prison for purchasing online perscriptions. He said he prefers to just have people go to jail than to have fee paid but since I didn't have criminal record he was calling as a courtesy. I asked how I could resolve this he said have my attorney call but at that point it would be too late of pay right now $1500 which could be paid by western union or moneygram. I asked him for additional information and he hung up on me. I then called back and was answered by a woman identifying herself as DEA and then asked for this agent and was immediately transferred. He didn't answer as Agent Wright...just hello. I explained I just wanted a fax or something proving who he was and he indicated he didn't have time for this and I could just have my attorney be ready to represent my when I got the summons and inidcated I pay now or that's it because he's got alot of people to notify. I started to question again and he hung up on me. I'm not a drug abuser, not a drug user, don't order prescriptions online, think this is bogus.

- Jeff in MD| 1 replyLets put this to rest. Its a scam pure and simple. People, please disregard and ignore anyone calling and representing themselves as a dea (or any other type of federal or law enforcement agent).
YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR. This is completely fake and NOTHING will happen to you or your family, These jerks have absolutely no power over you whatsoever unless you let them by falling for their nonsense.
If you have the gumption, try and keep them on the line as long as possible. Make-up any information they are requesting from you on the spot. Keep them talking, pretend you are scared and maybe, you will be able to obtain mailing addresses, real phone or fax numbers, or any other information you can use to assist the REAL authorities in apprehending these fools.
If you're not in the mood for any of their games, remind them that impersonating a federal officer or agent is a felony and watch how quickly they will disappear! Rest easy and think to yourself that this type of call is utter BS. Take control and tell these guys where to go!
It is very important to file an FCC complaint anytime you receive calls like this. If enough complaints are registered, eventually these calls may stop.

- jtwick replies to cc,
look at my posting in regards to this scammer - JAMESUpdate---Carlton Jason Hall called and did the same exact thing. Sounds like a professional African American- I called the DEA and reported the extortion attempt as that is what it is.
This man could cause a disabled person to commit suicide and must be stopped. I suffer with great anxiety depression and 5 herniated discs in my neck and 3 in the back. Pain all the time. When doctor moves my head extreme left the left side of body to fingertips goes dead. Same for right.
I thought for sure my days were numbered. I know they are anyway like all of us, but not this satanix piece of lumber.- Caller: dea

- Liz| 1 replyI got a call and message from this # too ... They said it is Special Agent White or Weeks of the DEA ... Don't know - message and connection was unclear. I asked what it was in reference to ... he told me it was for the purchase of medicines from overseas ... He said it was for the years of 2007, 2008, 2009 and that I had been living at a certain address which I had moved from 3 times over. He continued to talk over me ... and ultimately raised his voice and informed me I needed to contact my attorney ... I supposedly have a court date at the end of January ... and that I could do up to a year in jail ... I sooooo believe this is BS ... But I am interested in a second, third, fourth etc. opinion. Thanks!
- JG replies to LizThis [***] called me, and stared yelling. Had a real attitude. I laughed and this made him even more mad and that's when he threatened that I had a "court hearing" scheduled and I had better show-up or go to jail. I told him that I had not been formally served with any documents or subpoena to appear in court and that I look forward to receiving the paperwork regarding this made-up matter. That really pissed him off!
Then, I raised my voice and started with a an attitude. He hung-up!!!
This dude is some sort of scammer and must have got a hold of a list of people who have purchased medications over the net - which is perfectly legal. - jaceyI got a call on January 3rd from this # also saying it is Sgt. Michael Wright asking me to call him back regarding drug purchases over the internet. I ignored it. Then about the 10th of January I got another call fro another guy with a strong accent. he left a message similar but said there was a warrent out for my arrest. He then called right back and told me Iwas going to jail etc and eventually got around to telling me if I snt $7,000 dollars the prosecuter might go light on me . While I was on hold I googled his # and many report this was a scam ,many people recieved the same call. I am confident if this was true I would not get a call I would get served papers in person from a Sherrif. That is how all legal arrests work. They need to have it in writing. Do not let this bother you. Changing your phone # so it is different from the one you used if you did purchase drugs over the internet is advisable from Verizon Wireless. May be we should start saying to them that call "Hey send me $20,000 and I will send you back $40,000". Do not give back account # just send money order to P.O box. I would bet these idiots would fall for it. The other thing is to start talking in a made up language like ..kiki a misoko,,a fa do ichi go. Bekiki do seese??
