Signed up, cancelled and now calling my cell number. Is there a point to these telemarketing firms?

Signed up. Cancelled. Now get stupid calls to my business phone. Sometimes breathing on voicemail.

I had a Realty Trac membership that I cancelled last week.  I just got a call from this number and when I answered there was a pause then a woman coughing, then they hung up.  Based on what I read below, I called back and told them to remove my number from the list.  "Jim" said he would.  I will list it here again if they call back.

same as all the rest.  Cancelled my free trial and now i am receiving phone calls.  I know the number know and just don't even answer

Just call the number and tell them to remove you from the call list...that's it

I canceled Realty Trac about a year ago and they still call. I've found something much better in real estate education to make 5 to 6 figures a month. Realty Trac is so outdated and a waste of time.

I didn't even sign up. I cancelled out of their web page midway through filling out the form (unfortunately I had entered my phone number) and even then I am getting calls.

I just called them back and spoke to a rude woman who said they would remove my phone number from their list...........we'll see.

They just called me and when I answered I could hear people in the background, I called back (4 times) before it was answered- I spoke with a woman named Linda- right away she knew who I was and tried to sell me buy 1 month get 2 free- I told her no thank you and please take my name off their list- she seemed a little pissed off and said fine and hung up- what is this companies problem!???

They have called me every day for the last week - since I cancelled my subscription. No one is there and when I call back, it says it is an out of service #.

I received a call a few days after I canceled my trial membership. But it was only one call. Nothing since. My credit card has never been billed.

My subsription just ended recently with Realty Trac and I just got my first call on my cell phone from this number. They hung up as soon as I answered. Maybe it was an automated calling glitch.

Solution: Dial *679495027877 from your cell phone. This will get you to RealtyTrac. Request that your number be removed from their calling list and they will do it.

Go to the website. Log in and go to near bottom of page. It will have a button to cancel. SAVE YOUR CONFIRMATION #! If you are getting the emails still you have to go to the opt-out link. THIS LINK ONLY STOPS THE EMAIL it will not cancel your trial membership.

I just got my first call from them.  I googled the number because I just spent 4 days interviewing and looking at properties so I didn't want to risk missing an important call and I find this!  I, too, signed up for RealtyTrac and can celled this past weekend (within 7 days).  I found that the site seldom worked properly, but my big complaint about RealtyTrac was when I supplied my agent with some houses I was interested in and my agent asked "Where the hell did you get these listings?!!! These properties have been off the market for months."  For those of you contemplating the service for the auctions, FYI: most listings are missing the actual auction info.

Former subscriber to RealtyTrac. Phone number calls but never answers when I pick up. Finally got fed up. Called RealtyTrac via 800.306.5997 and demanded to be removed from contact list.

Whether or not that actually happens, we will see. But thought I would post to assist others.

just got a couple calls from these folks.  i too signed up for realtytrac and cancelled my membership as i'm out of the housing market.  nobody on the other line when i pick up, and no voicemail.

UPDATE: Called direct line (800.306.5997) May 1st to request phone calls be stopped. All was quiet until today. Called direct line again to "vent frustrations" and request again removal. We'll see how long it lasts the second time around.
