    I have gotten repeated calls from this number. I finally answered, they said a name, and before I could even respond with more “um”, the call disconnected. It’s obviously some kind of spam/call center.

    When I did, there wasn't any dial tone. It just went to a busy signal. You only get "dial tone" before you dial a number, not after. After you dial a number it will either give a ring signal, give a busy signal, give a message that the number cannot be connected to and the reason why. The
