I usually don't answer these bogus calls. Over 670 in the last 14 months. But new plan. I answer, Ploice Dept, how may I direct your call. If they say noting, I say, Operator please trace this call for possible prosecution. Why can't something be done to stop these scammers?

Call went to answering machine:  Card Holder Services wanting me to Press 9 to lower interest rate.  Can't understand how anyone would answer a call from a number  000-000-0000?  Maybe they don't have Call ID

I've been getting Ghost Calls for the last 25 years. Usually from an untraceable number. If you've ever had a security clearance, especially a TS/SCI, that might be it. Just a thought. My uncle and nephew get them as well. I'm not sure of the purpose.

Most spoofing is not done with a cell phone app, or a "prank call service".  It is done through configuration of the caller's provisioned phone service, which these days is typically VOIP.  

It is simply a matter of populating the appropriate field with whatever you'd like to appear on the caller ID.  In fact, behind the scenes, that is what the "prank call services" are doing on your behalf.  They simply make the mechanics of it transparent and available for those not using the appropriate phone services by setting the CNUM and placing your call through their outbound service.

Receiving calls from phone # 0000000000 how do I stop them?

Keep getting calls from this number.   Recorded message for a person that doesn't live at this number.  No return phone number or company name left, so couldn't notify them that person is not at this number.  Finally called once when I was home, answered and found out it was Professional Recovery Services.  Will be reporting them for masking their number.  Hopefully calls will stop now that I told them person did not live at this number.

Now they are hiding their phone number.  Shows up as 1-000-000-0000 and call display shows as Unknown.  grrrrrrrr

ive been called since yesterday by 000-000-0000 i dont know who it is and why plz help me .

This number called me saying they're trying to reach me to serve papers. According to the caller, 2 charges were being files against me and they wanted me to be available to sign for them. As he continued talking his voice was shaky and couldn't answer my questions. Who are you? Name of your company? What kind of "charges?"

Once he said he couldn't tell me what he was trying to do... I simply told him "You are not fooling anybody and don't call me again!"

They called me today and asked for my husband.
I told the guy that if he wants for me to take him seriously that he has to call me from a different telephone number because I'm not going to speak to anyone whose phone is 000000000.
I also said that I don't take telemarketers calls.
Then I hung up.
Usually I ask them to wait because I have to check their phone numbers first on Google to see it it's a scam.
While I open my laptop they hung up.

The person on the phone told me he was working for Microsoft and that they received messages saying my computer has a problem.  He asks me to go to my computer and that he will told me how to repair it.  No way that he will enter in my computer.

I get repeated calls from "unknown name 000-000-0000" and "unknown name".  Most of the time no one answers when I pick up the phone.

Us Federal Grant Department is what this lady said. her accent was so thick I had trouble understanding her. She was offering $9000 for I guess being a "model citizen." No police record and all bills paid. I didn't think to ask for a number I just told her to send me a letter to help me believe this claim and to have a good day and hung up.

get calls all the time from000-000-0000.  I finally answered one today just to see who it was.  they said they were calling about my computer, that something was on it that was bad.  he had a Middle Eastern accent.  I told him to lose my number, don't call here anymore.  He said "F**k You", I returned the comment and hung up.  How do we report these calls and to who?

Well as for me I get tired with this [***] and picked up the and tell them to go [***] their mom in the butt lol .

I'm constantly getting calls from 1-000-000-0000.  On the few times I've answered, I'm told the company is Goin' Green California.  Has anyone else heard of this company?  I got into an argument with the guy because I asked him, "how many f$%^ing times do I have to tell you to quit calling my number?"  That kinda pissed him off and we had a shouting match with lots of expletives.  So I told him to come on over and we can talk about it in person...he had my address to we shall see what happens...more than likely nothing because they hide behind non-existent phone numbers.

I agree. Anytime I have picked up a call from 000-000-0000 it has been from over seas and they are trying to sell/market or get information. It is always stuff that is irrelevant to me to I know it has to be random. I think this is why the "do not call" list doesn't work-because these people call from outside the US.

Got several calls from this number.  The first time, no one answered - they just hung up.  Then I stopped answering, and they called several times, minutes apart.

I have been receiving 4 to 5 calls a day fom this number. I finally answered and the phone rang back. Someone said do me a favor and kiss me. I told them I would call the police if they called again. They have called 3 more times today. It was someone with a very strong foreign accent.
