- TRL| 2 repliesAfter numerous times of 0000000000 calling my cell phone, I answered it asking (or rather shouting angrily) "who the hell is this and what do you want?" A woman's voice asked what did I say and I repeated it. The caller hung up and hasn't call back again.

- SimpleMind| 1 replyGMAC calls up when with all zeros when I am behind in a car payment
- Caller: GMAC
- Call type: Debt collector
- Ava Gomez replies to SimpleMindI guess it is a telemarketing cover up. This number shows up constantly on my cell phone caller i.d. The two times I decided to answer, there was only silence. By the way, I don't do business with blockbuster or gmac, so it appears to be an attempt used by any telemarketer.
- guat| 1 replyI receive calls from this # quite often, my husband owes a CC company the balance left and a collection company uses it to hide their number when they call, weird, so i dont think its something that just telemarketers are using, I think that someone is marketing to companies that make many phone calls and offering them a service to "block" their # so they dont get disconnected if it shows "private" or its blocked....trixies, arent they?
- Caller: Collection Company

- Titusville, FL| 4 repliesPeople, don't get so upset with these calls. Make a game of it. Especially the ones that want to come to your home to handle refinancing of mortgages. I have them show up and tell them at the door that I am wasting their time because they wated mine. They have your address so have them mail you information with postage paid return envelopes. Cut and paste to a box of junk mail and send it back to them. They pay the shipping and you smile knowing they won't call you again. You can't stop them from getting around the laws so you can make it expensive for them.
- JoyceHave had 2 calls from this number. No message left on machine
- unknown| 2 repliesIt now has been 8 days in a row that I have gotten a call from 000-000-0000 every time I answer it because I want to tell them to stop but each time there is no one on the line. This is really making me angry. I wish there was a way to make this stop.
- Bnxample000-000-0000 keeps showing up on my caler ID. I answered and each time they called me by name and said they have my Visa # on file. I stop them there. I told them that I work for a bank and they do not have my Visa # on file and that they are going to ask me to verify the number so they can make transactions against my account. I said this is harrassment and could you please stop? his time a girl said, "since you said please, yes. ma'am. Have a good day. Then she hung up. Imagine that.
- kristieI received a call on my cell a few minutes ago from 1-000-000-0000 I didnt answer and they didnt leave a message. Very annoying.
- rTI started receiving calls from this number Monday, June 25 and have gotten them at least once a day. I did not answer the calls and the times I was not at home no message was left. I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize or "private" calls, I figure if they know me they will leave a message if it's legit. However, today since I had been receiving some many calls from this number I answered it and no one said anything. I hung up quickly in the event the perps on the other end were up to something illegal. Don't answer these calls, just like email spam if you ignore them (with email delete without opening), they will go away. I hate I answered today.
- pturner| 1 replysomeone called with this 000=000-0000.on 6/30/07 saw it on caller ID did not answer thanks for the info.
- Tosha| 1 replyI used to get calls from 000-000-0000 all the time.. it was discover (whom we had a card with) and they wanted us to buy some cc protection...
Needless to say, we do NOT have a discover card anymore.. and now when I have a credit card, I give them the a number that is not valid so they do not call to harass me...- Caller: 000-000-0000

- CallerID0000000000Caller left this information:
Dana Wilson 877-324-7960 - ASavCOMy husband got a call on his cell from this number tonight and the message left said that it was blockbuster, they were calling for my father and said he had movies that needed to be returned.
The problem is this, though, folks:
1 - My father hasn't used his blockbuster account in just about 6 years. If he wants to see a movie, he just buys it.
2 - We've had our cell phone account for two months (my father's name is on the account and we use the phones. He's NEVER used these phones for business or personal reasons, he opened the acct for us and we've been the only people to use the phones. His number of record is his own cell phone and his house line that's through Vonage.)
Think about it - there are millions of people with Blockbuster accounts all across the US. Who's to say that this isn't another scam like so many email scams that "claim" to be your bank saying that there's been "fraud" and that you need to contact them with your account info?
I think any legitimate business is going to not hide, even a collection agency. Actually identifying themselves via caller ID can be legally advantageous to them because it's proof that they contacted you, that they made action to collect what was owed to them.- Caller: "Blockbuster Video"

- angelwingskb1got a call today from 1-000-000-0000, dont know who it is or what number it is. Call on my cell number as well, nobody, only my immediate family knows my cell number and funny thing is I never turn my cell on it is for me for emergencies only. I don't use it to chit chat on. Called my home and cell number of times. I don't answer though. One of these times I am and I am going to blast music or something very obnoxous and loud into the phone.
- angelwingskb1by the way, I don't rent movies so I know it isn't block buster

- moe| 1 replysmoeone calle me and hugn up fast
- eMI had this call come in on caller id in my absence; leaving no message. I agree it is a generic way to block their identity, as I use niether Blockbuster nor GMAC, and have no Discover card, either.
- Blake Lewis| 4 repliesI've been getting calls everyday from this 000-000-0000 phone number and finally I answered the call and they ask if the head of the household is there and I said speaking, then they ask if I'm a smoker??? No and that the US government is wanted to raise taxes on cigerettes. I said ok, but what does that have to do with me? They want my vote for not having them raised. I'm all for that if you are a smoker, because you do have rights... But tell these people not to call everyday 2 or 3 times aday asking the same damn question! I finally told them that I'm tired of answering their questions and do not call, because I'm on the DO-NOT-CALL List and they said thankyou and hung up! They have not called back thank goodness!
