I received a call from 000-000-0000 which also showed as V228132406000211 on my caller id. The man was heavily accented Indian and asked for me by name. He wanted to verify my computer id number. I said I knew this was a scam and I would never share any information of that type with anyone over the phone or in e-mail. He called me an [***] and hung up.

Thank you for the information, I could read your post just fine...  it's people from the East Coast who have a slang in their speech who I have a problem with. You have to say what did you say over and over again it's like they got cotton stuffed in their mouth,  but I am sure they understand each other very well ...

If your telephone has it's own call block feature where you can add a number that recently called you or you can manually type the number in, that will work.  I blocked this number a couple of years ago, and every once-in-a-while they will attempt to call.  How I know is that my phone will ring once and the instantly cut them off or drop the call for me.  The number shows up on caller ID/

I get this call every day sometimes twice a day.  They ask for me by name.  They tell be it is in response to my applying for a government loan or grant. I say I have not applied for anything and to please take my name of the list.  He says he cannot do this. OMG  So I then say well just leave me the hell alone and hang up.  They called back three times in a row and I did not answer then it stopped.  This is harassment and the phone company should be able to stop these people.  The no call list is a joke so do not waste your time getting on it.   I expect it to start back up next week (this is Sunday).  Good luck everyone. Oh yes, I have never been left a message.lol

Sick of these calls at our business
The call just came in moments ago. We did not answer it. The Caller ID read unavailable, and the number 000-000-0000. We get thousands of calls like this and want them to stop!

the numbers were all zeros. they have repeatedly called me all hours of the day. this should be illegal to have all zeros. who are they if they have to hide behind the zeros?
