803-477-0543 - How To Stop CallsIf you really want all these calls to stop, the solution is to give the fines revenue to the political parties. Sounds crazy but this has some merit.
1. The politico's will write legislation that is simple and to the point- no calls and no exceptions.
2. The politico's will also make certain that government organizations that control the enforcement of the laws actually do their job because it will mean revenue to them.
3. Calls from out of country will be charged to the in country company even if they did not make the call (a timeshare company in Florida would be charged even if they out sourced the calling to a company in India).
In exchange for this source of revenue, the politicians must also monitor calls from out of country that DNC lists do not cover and instruct the phone companies to block these calls.
Everybody wins. The political parties get revenue (which we know they will spend and help the economy), the telemarketers (at least the honest ones) will know that who they are phoning is interested in receiving the call instead of wasting their time with people swearing at them and finally we do not get all these calls we don't want unless we decide to opt-in (which is the system we should have).
This just an interesting idea worth some discussion.- Caller: various
- Call type: Telemarketer
- aProtect yourself from scams:
Say they are a bank or credit union, and there’s a problem with your account. Do not give any information. Call your real bank.
Say they are a credit card company. Ignore. Call your real credit card company.
You receive an “unexpected” cheque - give it to your bank so they can process it through Fraud agencies. If it turns out legitimate for you, you’ll get it back.
Do not sent out a money order in exchange for winnings.
Do not take a “free” sample and pay shipping. Eventually, they charge sales off your bank account or credit card.
Use caution when deciding to fill in personal information online including your email address.
This is where they have details about you and will contact you about offering a trip, gift, do a survey, opinion, winnings, charities, political.
Beware of anything offered “free” or you’ve “won”. It usually gets followed up with; we need your credit card number. Don’t give it.
Do not offer someone else’s personal information in exchange for money. You will not get the money, and the person’s information you’ve given out will be targeted for some scam.
Don’t get involved when they offer “grants”. Proper institutions don’t call around.
Creditors, or saying they are creditors. Investigate. Do not accept harassment.
The national DNC lists do not cover political and charity calls, however, you can request each political and charity caller to put you on their DNC list and they are to honor that request.
Requests to come to your home to quote anything. Don’t.

It's a should do.

Telephone: 1-800-943-3250
The website doesn't give the opportunity to request the DNC for ALL affiliated/associated/connected companies.
Choices can be to do the internet request and telephone as well so that you can request for ALL. There are many "lists" connected to MCS that it's necessary to get on their DNC.
MCS (Mutual Consolidated Savings) has MCS "Financial Services", MCS Wealth, MCS Mutual Consolidated Progams, MCS Card Services, Mutual Savings. Also does business connected with the Four Vacations,
Island Timeshare Transfer, surveys, etc. etc. etc. etc. - smileyI think it was a call from your momma's house

- JanSo far today there have been 7 calls come in from this number. I'm a
on the do not call list, doesn't seem to make any differance to these people. I don't pick up but it's still annoying - frankiei get a call from this number several times a week i never answer it if i dont recognize the number.. it is very annoying
- Annoyed recipientWe receive calls everyday from this number. When we answer it's silent. When we let the machine take it, it's a beeping dial tone.
- No NameIt's that time of the year I guess. I got last month from this number. It was a live person on the other end asking me what politicians I was siding with for the 2008 Elections. At first I asked who it was, and the said they were some type of polling office or center. If I would've voted in the primaries they would've known that because on a primary ballot you only have choice of picking a party.
