- DG HamiltonI receive these calls and I am on the Do Not Call list www.donotcall.gov. I have filed a complaint with the government. It is the only way to stop these idiots and get our RIGHTS back. Please do the same.
- Caller: didn't answer it
- ML| 1 replyThis has got to be a spoofed number or something. They call 10 times a day, each time they claim they are from some different branch of a "Blockbuster".
The funny part is, they have claimed to be from cities/states from all over the united states, but never once have they ever came close to my city, or my state for that matter.
Not like it matters because I don't have a account with blockbuster anyway.
Always says when they come on the phone "Hi, This is Rick from *city/state* branch of blockbuster". - Nikki replies to MLSame message pretty much. Except they just say "Hi, this is Rick from blockbuster".
The person is calling regarding "over-due fees" for movies I "have out". I don't even go to blockbuster so how this person got my name or number for that matter is confusing.
They call 3 times a day, usually around 10pm, which is an odd hour. - jri get thease calls a lot
and they are very bothersome - KateJust got like five calls from this person in a row.
The first three, the person hung up as soon as I picked up.
The fourth time, I got fax noises.
The last time I got this person asking me for advice on shopping.
Needless to say, I am confused right now. - SE replies to Q2there is more than one fed!
- MLStill receiving calls from a guy claiming to be from blockbuster.
This time they have the city/state and street right. However I personally called the blockbuster and they have no one by that name there.
So I don't know if this is a prank or something else. - amlI recived this call march second only once at 9:37 am and it was a call about me having over due movies at a local video store it went to voice mail before i could pick it up and since i have never recived this call again.

- NikkiI have been getting at least 5 calls a day from 000-000-0000. When I ignored it, and went to the ansering machine, no one is there. when I answer it, noone is there. The phone company can't stop it because they don't have a number to trace. Very frustrating. I work at home and it's driving me nuts1

- IshmaelThis 000-000-000 called and i want it to go away. But it won't
- Sshine replies to tI have received this telephone number as well. But it was from AT&T, they left me a messagae. Of course, I ignored. I felt this was un-classy business; and on top of that is was a automative voice that left the message. No wonder the ecomony is the way it is!
- BobbyI live in the Los Angeles are and this is social services calling my father's landline. I don't know why it comes out all zero's. Their area code is 213. Maybe it's some kind of caller ID block companies use?
- Call type: Valid
- .| 2 repliesI actually work at a call center where we call for different insurance companies and when we call this nmber shows up on caller i.d. We are not calling to soliciate or sell anything. These people have signed up for the insurance so they are pretty much asking for a call. My advise to you is to answer the call and see what they want. It might be important, and if it's not and you want it to stop, then tell them not to call you in again in a calm manner. And I can almost guarentee it's going to stop. If you tell them to call you back, or that the person they are looking for is not availible or you simply don't answer, I promise they will keep calling
- JackI got an auto-bot saying that it was my credit union and that my account had been frozen. It asked me to press (1) to speak with a security specialist. I pressed (1) and it asked for my account number.
I hung up because I've never banked with a credit union in my life, not to mention the caller ID was hidden. I'm angry that these phishers got my phone number. I hope they don't call back. - CH| 1 replyI got one yesterday that I'm sure was a scam. They said something about my debit card and a charge on it. They wanted to transher me to an operator to verify it. I just hung up as that seemed like something I had read about somewhere. In the meantime I was freaked out enough to double check my bank account. It wasn't even a real person - just a recording. My husband also got the call, but didn't pick up. Auto-dialing seems logical to me as we have the same prefix.

- lalalathey called me 4 times in 10 minutes. weird... people say it is a telemarketer so i don't bother answering.
- Mary replies to GloriaWe've been getting them lately as well. We have a lot of solicitation calls anyway and I think it's another facet of that. I thought it was a computer-generated call which we used to get when I suspected we annoyed a solicitor by hanging up, as I routinely do. There ought to be a law!
