I have received calls from the 000-000-0000 number a few times now. Ive not answered them, and they do not leave messages. I also live in an area without a blockbusters, so I do not believe it is them, unless they are solicitating for the movies by mail?? Either way, it is absolutely annoying!

I have gotten dozens of these calls - usually 4-5 a day - over the past few weeks. After the first few which clicked when I answered, I've just ignored them. My sense is that it is a telemarketing service that alerts active telemarketers about when we potential consumers are at home so that the calls from them can be more accurately dialed. Pain in the ....!

Got a phone call from this 000-000-0000 number tonight as well. No one answered and whoever it was immediately hung up the phone. This has happened several times over the past few days. After tracing the call tonight, I Was immediately suspicious and looked up the number on the web. Amazing that we're all in the dark as to what this number really is, or rather, WHO this really is. Telemarketers? Debt collectors? CIA or some other government agency? Or someone blocking their number from showing up on the caller ID? Hopefully we'll get a definitive answer soon. It's definitely strange.

I got 3 messages from 000-000-0000 including one of a girl asking someone to kiss her and in the backround there was a telemarketer saying "Hi, this is Brandon from "?"(I couldnt make it out, but I think it was Prudential) financial inst.

Same deal but i got a different number in the text. Im too creeped out to call that number in the text but i just got another text wit the same number in it.

I've been getting calls from the Allison Carpet cleaning company. Last year I got many calls from them. This year I asked to be put on their do not call list. Now i get several calls a day.

It is the same recorded message as last year. This year the call back number is 000-000-0000. Last year it was different.

I imagine many others can be spoofing the same number.

Anyone out there Game?

I've been getting calls from this number for nearly a year.  They always call while I'm at work, which is late afternoon and into the evening.  I've made a little game out of it, since they want to use all zero's.  Everytime they call, I either pick up and hang up without so much as putting the phone to my ear, or I put the phone next to the radio and wait for them to hang up.  They only call once a day.

I have been receiving calls from 000-000-0000 for about the last month.  I am never here when they call usually.  One Saturday I was here and picked it up.  A lady said she was from "First Community Bankshares" and that my account was overdrawn by $26.81.  I told her that was impossible because I had just checked my bank statement.  She said that she wanted to know when I could com e make a deposit and I told her I would be in that day.  She tricked me because my bank name is similar, and I was in a rush....luckily, I didn't give any info out.

Another time, same number showed up.  Lady left a message telling me to call Alisha with First Community Bankshares and left another 866#.  I called the number and it belonged to a manufacturing company who didn't know they still had the number...apparently it was a # used to track calls from some advertisement they placed.

Now today, the number shows up again, and the woman asks for me by name saying she was from First Community Bankshares and wanted to verify my address.  I asked why she was calling and she just said she needed to verify my address.  I told her I wanted to know why she was calling and she said she would tell me if I verified my address.  I started yelling and she hung up.  Scary - be very careful.  I have a feeling these are scammers trying to get personal info to steal your identity.

It's Blockbuster (reminding you to return the late movies).

IT IS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT USING A HIGH POWERED REMOTE SYSTEM TO REROUTE CALLS TO AND FROM YOUR NUMBER.  DON'T BELIEVE ME?  LOOK OUT YOUR WINDOW THE NEXT TIME YOU GET ONE OF THESE CALLS AND I BET SOMETHING VERY SUSPICIOUS WILL BE GOING ON LIKE SOME WEIRD LOOKING GUY WALKING A DOG THAT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE HIS OR SOMEBODY JUST SITTING IN A CAR DOING NOTHING. IT'S TRUE...

I get calls everyday from 000-000-0000 they from a bill collector everytime I do not answer them because it doesn't matter if I tell them the person does not live here they keep calling anyway!!!

calls me every day about 5 times and does not leave a message. I answer but get no one on the other end.

I have had this number with all zeros calling my home the past few days.
Today it was twice, once at 3:00  and again at 7:00 p.m.
We have late movies all the time ....lol... and blockbusters number
comes up all 9's with the nice recording about having late movies. I am glad
they remind me! I will pick up when this number with all zeros calls again
and see who it is.... I just hate telemarketers and all the calls I have
been getting about the presidential runnings.
Oh, Yeah.... I got a little creeped out about the above post from deceased relatives... my husband just lost both parents in the past 6 months.

i recently transfers my teley number from my apart 2 my house. and mow i have these [***] calling for someone that doesnt even live there but have the same last name as me . They keep calling and i keep telling them that there is no one that have that name that lives there. So they asked me if i wass the owner of the house and i said yes then a male asked me if i was over the age of 52" i mean what the hell i dont even sound like in 52" so i told him i was tired of recieving these phone calls and he said sorry and  hung up. then i got another call from them the next day... i dont even answer anymore

Movie Gallery, late movie reminder.

got a call today...my caller id said "out of area" and the telephone number was 000-000-0000. i did not answer. probably a bill collector or a telemarketer.

I got a call from this number this morning, and there was a message from Blockbuster on the machine, so in my case I think it was Blockbuster (there were no other numbers that would have been Blockbuster on the caller ID). That is weird that Blockbuster shows up like that, but I'm sure not all calls from this number are Blockbuster.

got the call, they asked for my husband I told them they had the wrong number nad they hung up....
