I do speak 3 different languages except Spanish.  I could try wasting their time by talking different languages.

Rec'd junk marketing call from 000-000-0000. Did not answer, no msg left. Recognized dirtbags that call with sinister, hidden intentions, never leave a message. This is a SPOOFED CALL.

If they were truly intent on being honest, and above board, they wouldn't be hiding behind such a number that doesn't exist.

They have been calling relentlessly lately, 1-2 times a day. That's ok, our phone switch is pre-programmed to take their caller-ID number and automatically dump it into voice jail.

Obviously the dirt bags never leave a message given their hidden, unscrupulous intentions.

I’m sure getting dumped into voice jail has them all ratcheted-up and hacked-off, which is great. The more hacked-off they are, the happier we are!

This is akin to the more Obama fails, the better off we all are! And after last night's Marxist speech, I hope all telemarketing fails, right with Obama.

Hey honey... next time learn to stay within the borders of the U.S.

If you're outside the borders of the U.S. don't expect like those moronic journalism students running around on the outskirts of Communist China for us to save your bacon.

Then again if you're one of those worthless Muslims, heck we'll give you all sorts of Constitutional rights, lawyers, and the red carpet treatment.

Gimme a break from all your crying--or at least give us your address, so we can send you some designer towels, wine, and cheese for all your tears.

I get a phone call from these idiots about once a week.  I stopped all of the phone calls for a while.  I went to WalMart and went to the sports section.  There I found a small air horn like the ones used at sporting events.  The next time I got a call from the people, the horn happen to jam on the telephone receiver and when I tried to get it off, my hand bumped the trigger
and it went off.  Need I say more?

The number called me just now and I answered, as I found it quite odd that it showed up in all 0's. It was an Indian (sp?) sounding telemarketer, whom I told had the wrong number.

From everything I see here, I'd wager to say that it is NOT illegal for anyone to block their number, or *67 wouldn't exist... (for the person who said it was illegal to block numbers).

That being said, The infamous all "0" calls are from telemarketers, bill collecters, research/opinion polling companies, etc. Not from spy's, or political hounds, the FBI or anyone else, so stop being so paranoid people :)
Simply block the number or don't answer :)

And P.S. to the person who said you can't get info from a FB person's page, yes you sure can. You can find out just about anything that you want from a persons facebook page. Heck you can find out more by texting CHA CHA at 242242. We sent a question asking my husband's address in Indiana, giving just the name and State. CHA CHA texted back with our complete address, unpublished phone #, etc. So nothing appears to be confidential or private anymore!

Mister, you are hypochondriac thinking that and wooried about the FEDS. The only people that have to worry about FEDS are those that have something to be wooried about. Are you doing drugs? Selling them? Counterfeiting money or???

I keep getting calls from 'out of area' with that number.
When I answer the phone, I hear a click. No one says a word.
We are on the state and national 'no call' list.

They called this afternoon. Got a nondescript recorded message when my husband answered. Words could not be understood. They sounded distant and quiet. I have no idea who they are. It's illegal to call and play a recorded message. I have a private phone number that only 3 family members know. No companies know my private number. No one but those  people should be calling me on my private home phone number. I'm registered with the national do not call list. I'm reporting this call.

I received a call on Feb.1 2010 at approximately 5:00-6:00 stating that I could have 2 boarding passes to some cruise so I answered the questions in a survey, so I did and was told to go on the website and give my telephone number I would then be contacted within 48-72 hours to get the rest of my information, I am just checking out this website right now.  Can you tell what type of scam this is and why they would dothis to a person on a fixed income with only 1 source of income.

These DIRT BAGS call on a regular basis. We automatically dump them into voice jail. They never leave a message, as they are as hideous, sneaky, sinister, and deceptive as Osama bin Laden, Socialist-Obama—oh, well, we all know one and the same thing, lie thru their teeth like Nancy Pelosi, and have the scruples of femo-Nazi’s, or an alley cat. Mind you, I full well realize I just offended the cat.

Remember if they weren’t so ethically-challenged they would be far more honest, and forthright.

Personally, after they graduate from Telemarketing Scum-Bag 101, then they proudly join ACORN and then vote Democrat in robo-like, brainless fashion akin to lemmings right off the cliff.

I propose we EXPORT telemarketing dirt-bags to those pro-Socialist European nations. While we're at it, we should also export all the liberals to Europe as well.

Then we can rectify the horribly left-turn this country took in Nov 2008.

Our Nation's Birth Certificate started back in 1776.

Our Nation's Death Certificate was issued on Jan. 22, 2009.

Well I must say I am quite familiar with this problem. Here is what I suggest:
You get the call from either 1000000 or 0000000000.
    Answer it.
Say, "Yes I am really interested in what you have to sell." "But I need to call you right back, which number can I call you on?" "Who am I speaking with?"
Write down the name and number given.
In my case it was Reggie and the number was: 1-829-563-2907
Immediately tell them "Put me on the do-not-call list". (Which won't happen)
    Then call the 1800 number.
You will reach someone else from the company, NOT expecting your call!
Then instruct them very clearly and carefully, to put you on the do-not-call list, because you have their number and the name of the responsible employee. Explain to them that you now CAN press charges if it continues.
Perhaps call a few more times in the same manner if you feel so inclined.
This halted all calls from the 1000000 number immediately.
For those who can't get anyone to talk or just get hung up on, when answering, skip all the steps and just start by calling the number above. I KNOW they are A company that uses that caller-id-spoofed number, but they are probably not the only one.
    Hope this helps.

I received a call today, and a call yesterday from this number. On both days, I answered the phone. On both occasions, no one answered me, when I said hello. Soon after I answered the phone, the other caller disconnected, which makes me believe that someone is checking to see if this is an active phone line. The number that I am at, is the place where I work. We have 4 phone lines here. I am unable to see which line(s) they called through (today and yesterday). They could have used a different number each day. We have a search line that looks for the next open line, or you can call each number individually. I like the idea that another user had commented about. To pickup the phone and not say anything, but put them on mute or hold. I think I'll try that if they call back! After all, they are wasting my valuable time.
