IF THEY ARE LEGIT,THEN WHY HIDE BEHIND A BOGUS PHONE NUMBER?

My mother who is elderly and has cancer keeps getting the call once or twice a day. She says nobody
ever answers and she is using a land line. She finally stopped answering the phone when this number appears.

I received a call from 000-000-001 today as well I didn't answer it because I don't answer from any number I don't know.  I got a call yesterday at 2:11 a.m. ringing my phone off the hook and it was also from a number I did not recognize 1-778-785-6188 I have listed my home and cell numbers with the CRTC Do Not Call List and I still get calls from overseas from some weirdo who wants to clean my ducts, they seem to know your name and phone numbers which is pretty scary.  If I didn't have family and friends who call that don't have cell phones I would get rid of my home phone for good.  I don't know if my provider of phone services Rogers is perhaps selling the phone numbers to these telemarketing companies or if someone from inside Rogers is providing everyone's phone numbers to these creeps but I like everyone else am sick and tired of the nonsense phone calls.

At my house, the ring is distinct for this number, though no one set the phone up that way. Instead of one long ring, each ring will be separated into two shorter chimes.

First of all why should anyone have to call you and opt out when we never authorized you to call us. "You are here to teach merchants to understand how to read their statements"? So you are lawyers? Or scam artists?

So much for being on the Do Not Call list!!  Such a joke....

This number has begun calling me 3-4 times per day for the last couple weeks.  Usually start calling shortly after 10AM EST.  It is becoming very annoying to have to stop what I am doing, only to see that it is another of these p.i.t.a. calls

Don't recognize the number, therefore, don't answer.... but still have to take the time to look anyway.  

Since they do not leave a message, I have to assume that it is nothing of importance - just another d@$ telemarketer!!

Received a call this A.M. - person identified themselves as being with Reader's Digest and Guidepost magazines and were calling about my  subscriptions and price increases.  I have told them previously that I do not want them calling and renew only when the magazines send me a notice in the mail.

they just called me for the last time LOL..blocked and done

When this number called, my caller ID just listed the number 1.  No other number. How strange is that?
Anyone know who this is?

Received call from this number under Security screen, to hide their ID. the caller could hardly speak English Probably from India or Jamaica again.  I was not interested and hung up.  who is selling our numbers and  info to another country?  I believe there is a break down of our security and no one cares.

Received a "security screen" message from 000 000 0000 this morning at 4.28am.
Annoying, to say the least.  A message was left - nothing siad. Just a blank 'message'.

got a call from 000-000-0092 "security screen" shows on caller ID.  (on Sunday - Nov. 24, '13 - 4:00 PM) I normally don't answer unknown #s, but picked up, waiting for info on death of family member.  I said hello 3 times, they said nothing & hung up.  If they want something, why say nothing?
Thought I'd check here to see if anyone had any info.

The number is obviously fake... called me and when I answered, they accused me of hitting their car. At the end, they said it was a prank by prankdial.com. If I find who made the call, I'm contacting their ISP and will have them arrested.

Just received a call from this number.  The voice sounded like a young girl and when I asked who it was, she said, "your granddaughter."  She asked what I had been up to lately, but turned each question I asked her back to me.  I finally put the phone down and she didn't call back.

Get calls , whichI don't answer,daily even on Sunday from "Security Screen " 000-000-072. The sound on the ring tone is weird,like 2 or 3 sets of three rings. We have blocked the calls only to have them turn up again with the last digit change

I got a call yesterday from this number. I answered as I am telling all unknown numbers to stop calling or I will report to FTC and FCC.  It was from Reliant Capitol, LLC. Selling windows and doors.

Well 000-000-0001 is back,  These jerks have called 6 times today while I was out.  No message.  CenturyLink knows nothing and has been calls about for a while.  Their advise don't answer it and especially with a computer phone.  I have blocked them with my call blocker so we shell see how well that works.  Just as bad as the lovely card services don't you think?

I get several calls from this number (1)  all the time.  Phone says number unavailable and out of area.  Voice ID says "one".   They never leave a message and are gone after 3 rings.

I get this call all the time and have never had quest.  I have AT&T.
