phone call came through on my cell as did one from 0119818000 both numbers are constantly engaged wahen i call back can any one identify where these numbers are from

they in a loan shark business or something don't mind them..

have been receiving calls from this number for the last week. when you phone back it is engaged.  telkom says this number belongs to standard bank in johannesburg.  this is not a standard bank number!!!!!

This number is in fact Standard Bank Vehicle and Asset Finance Debt collection. I owe them half a month's installment, after I was in credit for a few months... Funny they did not call when I paid them more than I needed to.. go figure.

got a call from a lady that said she is from Standard Bank and that I need to contact her urgently in regards with my ID Number. The message she left I can only hear these digits 0861 492 and the rest I can't hear.

I traced the number and it came back as 011 981 6800. I called the bank and there is no record of such a person (by the name of Ashleigh) and also no notes made on system about urgency of my ID Number.

Not even Standard Bank knows that number internally.

I've been receiving calls from this number for months now. Sometimes the number is 011 981 7000 and 7100 (if I recall correctly). The problem is that the cellphone registers the call as a data call so I cannot answer. Even if it is Standard bank they have no business calling me as I do not do any business with them.

Is there someone we can contact at Standard bank to get them to stop calling? Having to reject a number of calls from them every day is very annoying. I consider their calls to be harassment and will have to open a case of harassment if this does not stop.

Received missed calls when i call the number it is permanantly engaged.

It is standard bank, although it shows that number, the number to call back is 0861 498 468

I had three missed calls yesterday and funny enough I was not in a noisy place for me not to hear my own phone ring. The third call was dropped before I could answer and therefore I can not say I have any leads on this number but what was puzzling is that when I called it, it could not go through and then when I googled it, I ended up on this page you if anyone gets any leads, please update us!

@Lauren why can't you give us your details so that when we call Standard Bank we can be able to confirm the details. People I would advise you not to give any details over to these people. This could be part of a BIG SCAM!

I am receiving calls continually from Standard Bank. I have clarified all the details (in a recorded call) twice this month, and last month, and the last, but they continually phone me - it's akin to harassment!

I also received two calls from number 011 9816800 and 011 9810000.  The phone stop ringing before I can even answer it.

I got a call from 011 981 8300 can anyone enlighten me as they called me three times today when I returned the call its either it constantly ring or rings fr a while then disconnects. I'm really clueless about it. S0S please guys

I've been getting these calls up to 5 times a day for the past 2 months. It's definitely Standard Bank. It IS harrassment and against the law! Report them to the National Credit Regulator as soon as possible - I did. If you can give them names, details of the dates and tomes of the calls even better! They also call any company you've ever worked for!

Caller wanted to speak to my husband.said he was from standard bank.husband was not home.when I tried to phone back it rings and just goes dead after a while.

The number does indeed belong to Standard Bank credit.
Just received a call from them regarding my cheque account.
At first I missed their call and when I called back it rang and went dead. After a while they did call back.
I suppose it's one of those numbers that are outbound so they can only make calls and not receive.
