my husband has gotten them to the best that I can figure is that it is a cross over in the lines. He tried to send me some pics and it went to this # and yes it was proven on our records and he resent them to me and I finally got them.

My husband has had the same number showing up - when he was sending a reply to a friend - the friend got it as well. thanks for the info.  doesn't show on the text log on the phone but shows on the bill.  Wierd!!! We have so many text I have not worried about it just wondered who was texting him from who knows where

I think I have an answer for everyone. It seems that whenever I'm texting with an animation attachment (go to INSERT to pick while texting) such as smileys,etc.(for AT&T, my RAZR phone has animated variations of a little kid with a koala--angry, indifferent,winking, etc.). Apparently, these are copyrighted by blinko. That's why we have the 111-048-4000 number on our phone statements.

I have AT&T and this 111-048-4000 number just showed up on my bill as a text message. I also did not receive the message altho it says I did. After reading these and other websites including AT&T's, I called At&T. I was told that number is solicitation from AT&T!! I asked them to block the number because he didn't sound like he was sure about his answer as to what the 111-048-4000 number was. Why would AT&T send solicitation out at 10:00 at night? This makes no sense! Sounds like AT&T has a BIG PROBLEM and they're not informing their customers!

It's on my husband's cell as well, yet never on my phone nor our daughters, I'm thinking it can't be from the smiley faces, my daughters do that all the time.

I too am having issues with this number. I have found them on his phone and he has sent and recieved them. I want tobe sure of this before I cofront him about it as the times are in the 4:00 am ???Looking for a answer please...

my wife has several sent/recieved texts from this number have no idea who or what it is, but is really making me wonder. is there anyway to block them?

AT&T Customer Care says this number is code for a text message that is being sent through the internet. Had to delete some messages on my phone to clear up the problem.

It means that someone is sending them messages to their phone from their e-mail, and they are sending messages back to the persons e-mail adress.

the code is to some dating site. It could be any of them. My boyfriend  had it on his bill and i looked up one of the codes. This code 111-042-0100 is to upoc. Most of there codes are basically sex dating site looking for sex. My e-mail is jawdropper118@gmail.com if you have anymore questions

It is on my husbands bill late at night as well and I would really like to know what it is...is it a site they can use to send messages to someone so they don't show up on the bill...

These are calls/texts made through the internet the you have on your phone.  It is someone using IM to send messages.

My bf is sending and recieving texts from the number 111-047-0400 in the middle of the night when he is supposedly working. I am not sure where is it from but I am extremely concerned can anyone help me with figuring out where they are from?

on my cell phone i have had this number come up.  it says that i have been sending this number text messages, but i have not.  does anyone know anything about this number?

I recieve the number 111-048-4000 quite a bit and we have 2 lines with AT&T.  From my understanding and my actual experimentation with the system.. (trying various things, then wait a few hours/day, then check the site detail again) that this number that shows up is just a system number used by AT&T. (like an "internal" number) it seems like it comes up a lot like if you were to send a pic to someone, then, they click "reply" to that picture message (MMS) ...well on some phones if you hit "reply" it keeps the same format-MMS, and so then the reciepient actually gets an MMS with just the text reply.  This very thing went on between our two lines yesterday, and the 3-word reply (in MMS form) came up as 111-048-4000.  The times are exact.

This number could also be used by the system for any kind of "generic" text message, or like other's were saying from the internet where the origin doesn't necesarrily have an established phone number, but can still send/recieve to the SMS system (the SMS system is obviously interfaced to the internet!) what I mean by generic too is perhaps the system encounters a glitch or at least the original number comes up to the system as "unknown" for whatever reason (may happen more as you cross carriers, like AT&T to VZW) where there may be issues where the original phone number that sent, or where it was recieved from could not be retrieved.  But since the text message was delivered it will still be charged (or counted).... -Think, regular mail that doesn't have a return address!

In order for the message to go thru properly without ending in error the system has to assign something to it, hence... the generic internal 111-048-4000.

So this will likely happen randomly, just depends on how much data is with the message and where it came from... cheap network like cricket.. may not have all the headers.....etc..
