Got a call from 140-958-0674, stating they are from Insurance Verification Authority. He said my policy cheque which has not been claimed has come for verification....asked for details of my LIC policy....gave him the policy no , date of commencement.....but when he asked my PAN no.......i did not give.....i persisted in knowing his credentials.....immediately he hung up......PEOPLE WATCH OUT.....FRAUD NO 1409580674 ! # @ % ^^^

Got a call from this number today claiming to be from LIC Verification Authority, Delhi. He spoke in Hindi only. First he asked me to confirm my name and address. Then he asked if I recd. any intimation from LIC that a policy bonus cheque is due to me. I said no. He was unwilling to give me the policy number on which the bonus was declared. He seemed surprised that my agent didnt inform me, wondering if I really knew my agent. Told him I will check with my agent whom I know for the last few years. My agent warned me a scam is going on targeting LIC policy holders, and that I dont have any policy where bonus is currently due. A few hours later the same guy called me with the same angle. He again targeted my agent. I asked him for the agent's number as in the policy. Told him I will verify with my agent. It was not my agent's  number. He has not called after that.  

Caution, 140-958-0674 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.

I got call from this number 1409580674, first one lady spoke to me said calling from LIC head office dividend division. Your dividend has been cancelled by your agent by doing so agent will get 40% commission and 60% goes to LIC as unclaimed amount. we are here to help you. Will connect to senior manager to avail this dividend for we want to confirm your details and asked the policy number, dob, address and mobile number to confirm.
So called Manager spoke to me that LIC has tie up with Future Generali Life Insurance Company, FGLI has given dividend and they want to give directly to policy holder as per SEBI rule, you do not have any relationship with FGLI so buy FGLI insurance of Rs 28000pa and cancel the policy after 3 months. Will ask FGLI agent to contact you in 15 mins. Today is the last date for your reopen of file otherwise you won't get your money.
After this call I verified with different agent and LIC Managers. They said no Tie with up FGLI.
I got the call from this same number but this time guy said he is from FGLI, I said I donot have money now will buy insurance later.
Within 2 mins again got call from this same number so called manager Vishal, I did not pick the call.
in 10 mins got 4 times. 5th time I took the call and said your are fake call will give police complaint immediately they cut the phone.

This happened with me today. Similar discussions mentioned by nanda, happened with me too. Please be aware, these people are fake. I am not sure what is their intention, please spread this message to all your groups so that people can be aware of this issue.

i too received a similar call. How is it that he is not yet caught by the authorities. What does he do with the info? It was when he asked for my PAN details that I became cautious.

I got a call from this number today. I was told the same story of Insurance bon us is not claimed. I  gave him the personnel info. and pan. Then suddenly i realized it is a fraud call.Why did i say my PAN.  I called up BSNL and will be giving a complaint  tomorrow.

Got a call asking for insurance details, when I asked his name and company, says his name as Rahul Sharma but would not disclose company. Threatened to report, he started abusing, and hung up.

i too got a call. when he told me about LIC policy ,bonus etc, I told him we have a nearest branch of lic and we will verify.

140 958 0674 an [***] call me from this number and asking my details to provide..   He started the conversation that he is calling from reliance loan services who can offer the selected persons a pre approve loan with out any rate of interest and proccessing fees Upto 4 lakhs with 5 years of tenures....    #madarchod ko chutiya bhi bananey nahi ata......

I am getting frequent calls from 1409580674, who is a fraud, claiming as insurance agent wanting to help unclaimed policy. How do we get him in to Police custody?

i got call from this number and asking the person and talking totally [***]. these guys are totally fraud. they told me that they calling from Crime branch and some one put complain about me there.  Non sense people. never talk to them and don't disclose any of your personal information.

My wife got call by one person by name Kavita Sharma; she said she is from LIC of india. it appears it is all scam.
