Got this message and the link led to a page that looked just like the fed ex website. But when I opened a new page and went to the ACTUAL fedex site and tracked the “package” they claimed could not be delivered, no such package exists.
They were wanting me to put in all my information and it seemed very convincing as their fake fedex webpage looked almost identical, besides  retain grammatical errors.

Received a text from this number saying it was Huntington Bank and my card was suspended with a # to call and a # to text. I don't bank with Huntington.... Bye!!

I received a text from this number that said is 1 of 2 from Amanda Jackson and I just deleted and didn't open to read what it said since I didn't recognize the name or the number

Texts .... 2 yesterday stating AT&T  "deals" and 1 today re-another unrelated product from another country.... all different links.  I checked the address for 1 link by inputting it in my computer (not clicking the link) & it took me to a totally unrelated site @ Amazon.  when I searched this # one website said it wasn't even a real phone #. I deleted them...I can block the # if it's a phone call, but haven't figured out how to do it for a text, or I would.  I don't trust it.

First thing noted on receiving this: the phone number is invalid and has been spoofed.
No Area Code can start with a 0 or a 1: this one starts with a 1
No Exchange number can start with a 0 or a 1: this one starts with a 0

Forwarded the text to 7726

The domain listed in the URL was registered today using the registrar service Name Cheap, Inc. and hiding their contact information behind a privacy proxy.
The domain listed in the post by "I've Never Gotten Anything at HD" (above) was also registered on the same day as that post with the same registrar service.
Looks like these scammers register cheap gobbledygook named domains, use them for a couple days (if that) and then dump them and get a new URL for another round of scam texts.

Forward unwanted spam/scam texts to 7726 (SPAM) and let your phone service provider deal with them.
That number was set up by the phone companies to combat spam texts and they can shutdown offending phone numbers.
Never reply with "STOP", scammers will not honor the request (they have no honor to begin with) and it only verifies that they have texted to a valid number and a person who reads their texts.  It will not STOP the texts and may actually make them more frequent.
Never click on a link in such a text as it may cause malware to be inserted on your phone, and even if it does not, just as with replying "STOP" the scammers will know they reached a valid number.

Tried to direct me to a place to renew my license plates.  Looked legit and my plates are due soon so it was tempting, until I looked up the number.

wife got text this morning at 1:50 AM!  "WINNER CID #<her phone number> Thank you for being ATT customer"  (which we are not now nor ever have been) with this link (similar to the same formatted text I received about 10 minutes earlier from a different 141- number.  Unsecure link Http://<ommitted>.live/du.php

not all service providers have the 7726 (SCAM) set up - we are on one of the MVNOs - uses AT&T towers
