just got a call from this number 2;20 pm  strange

I've been getting calls from the 200 area code number for the past 3 days.  I haven't answered any of them.  There seems to be a pause on the answering machine before the hang up.  Per a google search of area codes in the U.S.A., the first area code that shows up is 201.  So where in the world is 200?

Same as everyone else. They have been calling for the past few days but there is only silence when they "leave a message". It's probably useless to report it since this is a bogus number but I did anyway.

They have been calling me a few times a day for the past week...it is annoying.

Just got one myself and didn't answer.  Could Big Brother use it to attach to our phones and record what they want???

Calls started yesterday, September 18, 2010 at 2:39 pm then again at 3:52 pm.
Today the same thing at 2:23 pm and again at 3:47 pm.

200 is a service access code. Meaning it's not a real area code and the information is bogus. In other words, you see 1.200.___.____ pop up on caller id, you can bet your boots it's a scam.

Got this call from 200-200-0000 several times. Never answered it as it came up "Name Not Found" on my caller ID. Blocked it with my Panasonic portable phone system. Screw 'em!

The number 200-200-0000 has called my house 5 times today. They don't leave a message and my caller id says "Name Not Found." They started calling around 8:30am and it's only noon now, so who knows how many more times they're going to call. I'm not going to answer because the last time I answered a call from a "crazy" area code, it ended up being a scam in which I had to hire an attorney. If it's an important phone call, they'll leave me a message!

started getting the 200 200 0000 number a few days ago.
never answered it but, today as i was googling the number (almost instantly),
it rang with that number for caller id. since i tether my cell phone to lap top i had to wait for them to hang up to continue with the search.  coincidence????

09/27/10 received call from 1-200-200-0000 at approximately 7:21 pm Central Time

did not answer as the caller i.d. displayed "unavailable" with the number.

to those who have reported to local police ... did you recieve an answer or follow-up?

Note to telemarketers and bill collectors-if your caller id doesn't display your business or name, I am not picking up the phone.  200.200.000 called me 9-28-2010.

We got a call from this number and did not recognize the number and did not answer it.  Went to Google and got to this location.  No further information at this time.

Even when you answer, IT just hangs up on you.  I think, if you stay long enough on the line could it be possible that IT is connecting his/her call some where else? Not answering the phone or answering it solves the problem, calls continue to come in  and that is really annoying.

I think this is a number associated with the website Skype's call service.  You can make a phone call from their website to any number and basically use your computer as a phone.  I've gotten several wrong numbers from this number, each time was a different person looking for someone who wasn't me. There's usually a brief period of dead air, then background noise and the person.

I just got this at 3:45pm central time, 9-30-10. Tried answering last minute but didn't get anybody.

Keep getting phone calls from this number. I do not answer. Who are these guys and what can I do to stop them?

Have received about 20 calls from this number in the last week. I tried calling it back and it said invalid number. I tried texting it and it said error.invalid number. Want it to STOP! It's about every 4-5 hours.

12:42 am 200 200 0000 called, silent when i answered. I gave them a second to reply but nothing was ever said so I ended the call. curious like the rest i googled 200 area code and found this.maybee we should try to find something we have in common to see if it isnt just randomly dialing.

I also frequent the appstore and I tunes

I've had more than a dozen calls from this number in the last week or so; the name shown is "UNAVAILABLE".  I do not answer these calls.  (I don't generally answer any calls from names or numbers I don't recognize.  This means that even some friends with cell phones have to leave a message because they aren't properly identified....)
