201-461-0023

Rec'd a call from 201-461-0023 requested a call to a Mr. Thompson at ext 8365. The individual who identified himself as Thompson was advised that he was calling a wrong number Thompson started asking questions which I refused to answer; he then hung up on me. I called back and he stated that he did not like the way I spoke to him, to bad. This individual sounded dumb as sand. Be assured the genius I spoke to was no lawyer.

Got a call from 201 461 0023 they say it was a law firm called E and Berkman and I needed to call 888-523-0856....ext. I called back using a different number asking for their address, they wanted to know what for? and they wanted my phone number......that's when I said thank you very much, noting without their address....then the person on the phone says yeah right whatever!
What a professionals law firm... yeah right whatever!)......I found this webpage and now I feel 100% better.

I 'll have my attorneys call their office.... this should be very interesting and fun too... now I want to play!

These jerks call me 5 to 10 times a day looking for someone who used to have my phone number (I've had the number for 5+ years and have no idea who the person is they're searching for). They leave the same automated message over and over again, and it is a particularly stupid one to leave on an answering machine.

I've blocked several numbers they call from, but they just call from another one, and so far from 800, 888, 201, 757, and other several other area codes. Today I found their web site here:

Note that 201-461-0023 is listed as one of their numbers.

In addition, at the bottom of the page there is this:

Of course there is voice mail at that "Complaint Hotline", but nevertheless, I left a fairly nasty message about removing me from their lists. I may send an email as well.

I would suggest that anyone else being harrassed by them do the same. I hope this is some help to others in this situation.

got a call from someone named Rene' and gave his number as 888-523-0856 ext. 8362.  of course when i called back he was away from his desk but someone else said they would help, asked if the last 2 of my s#s was xx and i told him my ss# was none of his business and i didn't give that info out over the phone.  he then said i owed citi financial over 10K!  I said I don't have an account there and that was not the my ss#, he said thenyea right why did you say you don't give that info out and hung up on me!  I tried to call back and it clicked and kept ringing, no answer!  I could'nt believe it when i read these posts with basically the same stuff that I just encountered!!  What jerks and scammers, I hope they rot!!!

I get alot of calls from someone with the same name who evidently does not pay his bills.  As I read the comments here and on other web sites, telling them not to call just might cause alot of cussing and name calling, I have googled the following numbers from this company to help those with voip's who can foward the calls back to them or to block their numbers.  These are the numbers that I have found :

Some man called leaving a message asking for someone who I don't know, when I called back the number back they answered "Law Office" didn't state which law office. When I asked he was very hesitant so respond. I told him I wanted my number removed he said it was but I told him he should be more professional and he hung up on me!

Received a call from this number looking for my son who hasn't lived with me for 8 years!! The woman was quite rude and there was a lot of background noise...sounded like she was calling from a bar.  When I asked her what this was regarding, she stated she needed to talk to my son or his attorney.

This is a collection agency and the person that they are looking are the people who doesn't pay their bills. The person that owed the money might give your number as a decoy. Anyway I have talked to them today and they were looking for someone name Beth which I knew and yes she doesn't pay her bills so I give the collection Agency her real phone number and they can bother her not me LMAO!!!!!!!!

Got a call this morning from some lady, telling we they're going to sue me for a mattress I bought from Well Fargo. go figure. Are these people even aware that Wells Fargo does not sell Mattresses. Which makes me wonder what continent they are calling from.

They call SOOOO many time looking for someone who we don't know. We also have explained and asked many many times to be removed from their list....well, they NEVER did and I don't think they will stop calling. So we decided to block them.  Thank you "rox" for searching all these phone #s.

These people are running a scam. They want money for something I don't owe and when I ask for them to send me a bill they just threaten litigation if I don't handle this matter today. Well that's been a month ago and they're still calling me. Sometimes I answer sometimes I don't. I've told them several times I don't know what they're talking about and would they please send me a bill. I've told them at least ten times to quit harrassing me but they still call.

I've contacted an attorney and contacted my states attorney general. My attorney advised me not to answer the phone anymore as I'm going to sue them for breaking the fair debt collection act and for the harrasment my family has recieved.

This company will not listen to a word I say and will not quit contacting me about a debt I don't owe.I have no other choice but to take legal action against this make shift law firm.

These people are calling me 10 to 15 times a day. They call me at 7:00am and they call my work non stop even though I told them I'm not the person they are looking for and to please quit calling me. I'm afraid my boss thinks I'm a dead beat and I don't pay my bills. I'm also afraid he may fire me because of all the calls I get from this company. They are looking for a women named Janet. I don't know anyone by this name and I've never known anyone with this name.

They don't sound to be a legitimate law firm from the calls I've recieved. I've been threatened with jail, law suit, and have been called some really terrible names.

I finally contacted my relative who's an attorney because I want this unwaranted harrassment to stop.

Took over $300.00 from me for a bogus debt on my daugter, Would like to recover my money, caller id was 201-461-0023 law off bronson.

I received a call, my mother and my brother , have no ideal who these people are or how they got my mom or my brothers name coming from 201-461-0023, it is a scam and they said it was from mr thompson office Mr. Solo.???????

I received my first call from cawley && bergman ( 201-461-0023) on august 9th I did not answer it just assuming there were just telemarketers. They called again yesterday so I googled the number - got a little worried when the number came back to a "law firm" , but then I found this forum. Thank heavens because I probably would have believed whatever they said. I also found out they have no jurisdiction in my state regardless so I will not be answering any of their calls!

I never even heard a human voice when called from this number 201-461-0023, I almost never give out my work number. I hung up and searched and found this website. I suppose they will call back if they are as tenacious as people say.

I have been harrassed by this number for over 6 months. Message says nothing about who caller is, just "we are looking for Tyra B. If you are not Tyra B press 2. Last few calls now leave no message. I've been reporting them to the DNC list for months. Maybe I have to sue them to stop..............

I get calls from this number as well as others. It's amazing that they don't even listen to what I want to say. They accuse me of owning  to a company that I've never used. I just asked them for a copy of the signed and dated contract with a payment schedule. No word as of yet!

A live person called and said he was calling from the law offices of Cawley & Bergmann.  He asked for Chris _______.  I asked what it was regarding. He kept asking if I was Chris _____. I asked if it was a sales call. He sounded agitated, "No, it's not a sales call. I'm calling from an attorney's office."  I asked again what it was regarding. He said, "I'm getting tired of the ambiguity. Is this Chris _____?"  I told him I was tired of his ambiguity and hung up.
