Well here we go again, but this one I'm not called back, it shows up on my id the call is from Egypt, I don't know any one from there.  Blocked the number

Recieved a call, didnt answer but I called back and the messages stated that this was the IRS but you could hardly understand what the person was saying and it sounded like a personal message system 202-239-1646

BTW- the IRS would not call from an unknown number, you would get a notice 1st in the mail....

I got one thing online to say to this turd that Weird AL said one time "Don't go makin  phony calls just make the ones that you're used to" Another words stay off my Phone!

they called one dat asking if any of my family took xerelto and called today pretending to be the IRS.

The caller id said DC but the man calling said he was in FL. Could not understand what he was saying. It had something to go with medicine I have taken. Told him to never ever phone back.

When you call they number back the recording  states  " you have reached the Internal Revenue Services" and to leave  your name and  number and some one will call you back"  Really -  1st if the IRS wants  to contact  you they will mail you a letter - they do not have  time to call you- they will wait for you to call and if you do not and  you owe them money they will just take  it from you pay check or checking account,,, I wish this number would stop call my number - its stressfull

Keeps calling me eveyday. I'm on the do not call list.

OUT OF THE USA. From Asia. They are here to spam you. Easy to pay for any "877" number in DC is the main switch and it bounces around to any carrier that is selling your cellphone numbers. Cricket is the worest. Check your carrier's terms and conditions, don't call customer service, they'll lie to you. I know I've done it when working for Verizon....

I got a call from this number no message, I don't answer calls from number I don't know.........

i was called from this number  by person saying was from medical help line dept about xerelto, etc. said they got my # from US Medical Database and claimed to  be based in DC. i asked for supervisor and was refused. asked for someone else in office and was refused. caller was a man with an accent that sounded Indian but I'm not sure exactly. said his name was Maxwell. Eventually asked for my FACEBOOK information.... then called back 4 times within an hour saying he wanted to be my friend. i threatened police action and he said he will not call back. this has all happened within the past 2 hours. i will post again if i have any follow-up info.

I get phone calls from Egypt too. Sick of them!

Received a call on Dec 10th and Dec 11th. Caller ID says Washington DC.. Left no message. Did not answer, thanks to this site

they keep calling stating will be arrested in 24 hours have advised not to call my # again or will press charges they then use another #

Verbal requests to a debt collector do not work.  You need to send them a letter telling them to cease and desist calling you.  This should be done by certified, return receipt mail.  Keep in mind that if they have talked to you, they are required by law to do the following:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
