I too got a call at work and my co-worker answered the phone and told this Kevin Watson that I was not here and he told him that I was in Big trouble with the Law and if I didn't call him back then god help me.... he is a scammer and they can't do anything DO Not fall for it and  DO Not give any info.... I have reported them before to the US Marshall's office and the FBI...

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

In the meantime, you are going to have to do whatever you can to protect yourself. That includes letting them know they are running a scam and are reporting them to the authorities.

I got the same call. I called him back twice left him messages on his mach. I informed him that my lawer and I ran a check on him and his phone number, informed him that he was not who he said he was (used one name with message on my voice mail, and a different name for his answ mach and it was the same guy). I informed him that I have spoken with all those I have a dept with and that they informed me there is a scam waring out against him. I told him I have reported him to my Attorney General, every local law enforcement agency where I live. I also said that I contacted Winston and Associates Law firm and that there is no Attorney James Parker or Kevin Watson with a thick Middle Eatern Accent working for them and that they are aware of this person. I demanded that he provide me with a notorized (raised sealed) document with his law license number (said my lawer is requring it) and that he had to give me written notification on what he was contacting me about and that it was required by law for him to provide this information. I called the second time for the more detailed stuff around 3:30am. Let's see how he likes it we all flood him with calls of threats to sue his [***] for his illegal activity, time to call his bluff people. We all have to band together and call his bluff.

I just received a call from this middle eastern clown clamining that his name is "Jeff Foster" and that there is a lawsuit against me and he said the last four of my social.  I never called him back because I get calls from these creeps all the time but he left a long and detailed message saying if I dont call him back they were going to serve me at my workplace and file at the courthouse where I resign.  Sure you are buddy!

They mofos called me today. I recently filed a chapter 7. They call me with my first na,e and y mothers maiden name-in which I challenged , because I do not sign documents with my mother's maiden name. I laughed , becuase she made a mistake addressing me with a wrong last name then she hung up. My bankcruptcy attorney said it is a scam. I don;t understand how they got my work cell though, because it's company cell phone and it is listed private.

A foreign man with a very heavy accent just called my office harassing and threatening me. He is ordering me to give him to my manager so he can tell them about me and that I am a criminal. He said he is and Officer in Washington DC and his name is Raphael Russell Hopkins from Winston and Associates Law Firm.

the same guy called me 2-3 weeks ago and left the same message and that will be sent to court by 9am that following monday.I never called him back.he called me back  i just hung up with him he claims our conversation was being recorded and he read off an affivdavit said they will be contacting my job,the local sheriff dept and he will be filing this claim in court by wednesday for fraudg all this for a 300.00$ loan i never apply for!!!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I got a call from this guy with the same name saying he worked from a Law firm i told him to f off and he told me he was calling the police to have me arrested. Well the social number was taken off an application i filled out online for a loan. I just wish there was a way to contact someone to gave him arrested.

Just received a call from this Kevin Watson at the law firm of Winston & associates.  Both at work and on my cell.  This is so wrong....I have no debts or loans pending so the is just compete fraud..  going to call this guy back and harass him.  So tired of this bull...Read all thse posts and can't believe how out of hand this has gotten...Avoid this at all cast....This is a total rip off.

I got a call out of the blue last Wednesday. Says that his name is Kevin Watson from Winston & Assoc. Says that I took out a pay day loan and I only have 2 options: either settle now or he was going to have me arrested. I panicked because I know I took out a loan years ago but was positive I paid it. I paid him part of the money and said he needed the rest by Friday. Said one he received the money, he will in turn forward me a letter stating that the debt was paid.
After that, I didn't hear from him again until Today when I called him again to ask him for a receipt, he tells me that I have more outstanding loans that have to be paid before he can close the case.
  I contacted my husband right away, he insisted it was a scam. I called a sheriff friend we have and he also informed me it was a scam. I was so happy I decided to Google his number cause I found this site.
   I will be going to the local police dept tomorrow to file a formal complaint.

This number out of nowhere called me this morning. I answered saying I was not interested and to stop calling me. He then somehow got my work number and left a message stating he was going to file a claim against me and that I will lose my job and any credit cards that I have. After reading this I am at ease that this Middle Eastern man is a fraud. I am 6 months pregnant and do not have time for the games. He needs to be stopped.

I got calls from this number and they took money out of my account say there was a court affadavite and i was in voilation of federal banking laws and check fraud and something else. called my job and and my cell..scared the daylights outta me,

I contacted a lawyer and was told to check my credit report..if nothing shows ,which i knew it wouldnt, ignore his calls..he is also under investigation in the state of Virginia..because I personally contacted the Attorney Generals office and my local police dept..I was told that most likely this is a scam and this person isnt even in the country..

dude just call me saying he was alex a d his an attorney for the american cash something and he said something about issuing a warrant or file some lawsuit  because i owe his company $445.27 cents? really? i was never approved for a payday loan that much the highest i got was not even half of that.. dude say go to walmart and wire him that money and he will sign and release a clearance ltter for me doing check cashing fraud? like really.. i have no idea what he was talking about. his was reading me all kind of law and [***].. get real

Same crap as the others. A very Indian sounding accent saying that he is from a Law Firm in DC and that there is a case filed against my Social for fraud.These are persistant insects who are trying to scam money from anyone by fear. They don't live in this country and don't know or care about our laws and ways working with claims. They also talk over you. I gave this Idiot my attorney's phone number but his arrogant answer was to have my attorny call him. DON'T SEND ANY MONEY!!! These people are theives.

This just happened to me today! He had my last four of my social and my current email address under my maiden name. The only reason I knew it was a scam is because I was just recently married, just moved into my new home with the new phone number and I have never applied for a payday loan online. I called him back and gave him my attorney's name and phone number. Let's see if he calls him....lol!
