I got this type of call one time before in September first week-
From number - 12022831710

He was telling me that my Warrant ID is : 00/1003636. His name is "Jack Howard" and his batch ID "TX548923"

He told me that, since I am sending some money to India from my bank account for my family survival there, I owe the tax on it and it should be deposited from pre-paid voucher GREEN DOT MONEY PACK (GOVT VOUCHER, as said by Scammer). For that, I had to go to nearest CVS and purchase this, the next day he will send his person to collect that voucher.

A full toss SCAM !!!

Just received a call from "Unknown Caller". I did not pick up. They left a message in a recorded female voice saying they were from the IRS and this was my final notice. They were filing a lawsuit againt me and I needed to call 202-241-8348 right away. OBVIOUS SCAM!

My husband says the voice sounded like Lois Lerner. Haha.

Got scam call on my home phone, a voice message on 09/29/14, saying "IRS is filing a lawsuit against you, to get more information about this case please call 202-241-8348".
According to NBC Bay area, "A widespread scam where callers pretend to be from the IRS is duping thousands of people out of millions of dollars. The phenomenon is nationwide, but California residents are losing more than other states. Federal inspectors estimate that victims have lost at least $4 million in total. 25% of that total is from California.".
I'm in southern CA, what we need is some rain, not scam calls like this.
