I got the same calls 4 times. It is a scam. When I called them back to tell them off the only people that talked were sand [***].

I got those same calls too. I my self don't know why those people cant be caught doing that crap????

Thank you for the info.  My mom who is a senior got the call from 202-250-9847.  I knew it was a scam.  She was so confused and worried.

IRS scam do not belive the voice mail they are in a call center useing  a spoof number. They are looking older to people to belive them report them here the number 1800 366 4484 this scam been on the news news papers we have pass the word around if not poor people will belive them it is important to report them or call the cops

Got the same call from the same number stating they were the IRS.  I blocked the number on my phone.  I always search the internet when I get these strange calls.  Nine times out of 10 they are scams.  Guard your identity. Always make them tell you what they know.  They will stop calling.

IRS does not file lawsuits.  They have enough administrative authority to collect all lawful taxes by way of the IRS Code and related regulations.  Enforcement actions are only taken up when all other forms of negotiation have failed.  This is a total scam originating in India and Pakistan.  Ignore and block.

Not much chance of that.  The callers are located in India and Pakistan and as such beyond the reach of US law.  INvest in  a call-blocker and do not pick up on numbers you do not recognize.

Got a call at 9:40 waking me up on my Christmas holiday.  Left the same messages being sued by the IRS and the number 2022509847 on my caller ID.  Praying these people get theirs.

received this call and knew right away it was a scam.  These idiots need to find someone else to try to get money from.

This caller claimed to be from the IRS and that I had an error in my federal taxes from 2011-2013 and owed them over $3,000 and that there had already been a warrant issued for my arrest. He said the police were coming to my house today to arrest me. I asked why I didn't receive any notice in the mail, and he said it was because it was a mistake that my "accountant" had made.

Have gotten numerous calls from this number....computer generated.....says IRS is suing me and to call back.

I received a vmail from this number, as Denise said, the IRS will not call to tell you they are suing. Notifications from the IRS will come via snail mail. Do not give any information to people on this number.
