i justt got a call from this number too WTH??

MRS Associates.  Scumbag collections agency.

the problem is these jerks do not care they are calling the wrong number. They just keep calling even after you tell them. They laugh about how it's the wrong number and that I shouldn't care as though it's fine to harass the wrong number. I am sure they will never take the number off the list and they are too lazy to actually look for the correct person. All they know how to do is call old numbers repeatedly  for the wrong person and not actually do any real searching for the person they actually WANT TO FIND. I hate their guts. I told them I looked up on the internet the person they keep calling about and where the person is located (different city), but they don't seem to actually want to do anything but call the wrong number night and day. Idiots!

What recourse does a person have to not be harassed by people who are calling the wrong number? That is what I want to know!

This is how they come up with so many numbers: It is calleed caller ID spoofing. There are many sites like this that offer the technology to anyone.

Call came from Washington D.C to Kansas at 08:25 hours CST on 02-01-2011. Call not answered and no message left. This is one of the many numbers in call bank of the American Lung Association pitching for donations.

UPDATE: I find myself rather certain that this number was re-assigned from MRS to InfoCision who solicits donations on behalf of the American Lung Association.  Data found online shows that the American Lung Association gets less than 50% of what InfoCision collects.  Google "contact infocision" for InfoCision's contact info.  I just sent them Email asking to put me on their do-not-call list.  We'll see how that goes.

I have been getting calls from this number. Caller ID shows Air Quality Alert. Obvious scam of some sort DC phone number for air quality alert 3000 miles away!!  I have reminded them that I'm on do not call list but calls continue.

This number started calling my home phone about a week ago.  Caller ID says it's "Air Qlty Alert" with the 202-397-9133 number.  They call at least 3 times a day, sometimes 4.  I don't answer but they never leave a voice mail.  I have filed a complaint with the FCC before.  I'm not sure if it was on these people, but for a long while, I didn't get any of these types of calls at all.  For several months I was receiving upwards of 10-15 calls a day.  I am on the do not call list, but these folks just don't care.  I think they just figure they can totally confuse the FCC & FTC by using multiple numbers.  My solution was to buy a big whistle & blast each & every one of them.  Maybe that's why the calls stopped for a while.  Guess it's time to dust off the whistle & let them have it again.  You actually may have to listen to their recording & then push a button to get a live rep, but once you get him or her, let them have it!!

I keep getting calls from this #.  ID says Air Quality Alert, whatever that is.  I never answer, but I'm getting tired of these phone calls.

I get many phone calls from this # daily.  ID says Air Quality Alert.  From reading other posts, this is the American Lung  Assoc.  One call came at 8:40 am today & I'm waitng for many more.  I don't understand why they don't give up.

I have been receiving calls from 202 367-9133 and the caller ID has been showing "Air Quality Alert". They have to do better than that....  I no longer have an answering machine on the line they are harrassing, but they do get to hear my Fax machine answer.

Most of the messages here are from 2009 except for the one that I am replying to.  The caller ID for 202- 3 6 7 -9133 does say Air Quality Alert and I did call them back.  It is The American Lung Association.

AIR QLTY ALERT 2012 - InfoCision calling on behalf of the American Lung Association asking you to mail 4 envelopes to neighbors / friends to solicit donations. They are not asking for money; they are asking you to ask people you know for money. Sounds like the same thing to me.

Comes up as "Air Quality Alert".. What a farce.. Get these people off the phone. They do not deserve my time and wrack my patience. Especially the ones who do not answer when I do...

I haven't anwered the phone since it comes up on my Caller ID as Air Qlty Alert.  According to what I found on the web, it's MSR, which is a debt collection agency.  Since no one living here has EVER been deliquent on a payment, I may answer next time to TRY to get them to stop calling.
