This number called me and I asked the mans name that called me he said his name but I could not understand what he said after that was he was from the US government. I asked him what the reason for his call was and he said that my name and phone number had randomly been selected to get a grant that is not taxed and never has to be paid back... This call sounded exactly like scam calls that I have heard of so I hung up on him.

Just got the call and , yeah I entertained the lady for a bit, but yes its a scam.

This number just called me and I asked the lady how she got my number and instead of answering my question she hung up one. If you can't answer my question don't fu*$en call me.

I have talked to them twice and said not to call back.  Both male and female are very hard to understand and cannnot pronounce my simple name correctly.  Will have to see if they call back.

I keep getting these calls.  I'm playing along. I took the money gram option to drag it out. I'm curious where this goes and how much of their time I can waste. More time with me means less time scamming others.

My husband keeps getting these calls and wants to take the money gram option. I can't help but wonder what would happen if we call the number to have the money released and then go try and pick up the money gram?

You will eventually be asked to wire THEM money in order to get a grant that does not exist.  Your money will be gone.  It appears iTunes gift cards are also accepted by these thieves.  (Now why would the US government want that??)

Yep, same spiel, HEAVY accent, busy offshore call center. They are getting harder and harder to understand, which I take as a good thing - hopefully it means they are scraping the bottom of the barrel to get workers... They wanted a credit card # to put my "grant" on, so I spent about 10 minutes giving a phony one. Had them on for about 15 minutes total, then they gave me a confirmation ID number & 202-598-0206 to call to get my "grant". Anybody have a burner phone? -Give them a call (or lots of calls...) and see who is there...

I just got a call at work from this number. The Lady was hard to understand and she said she worked for the US goverment and was calling from the range departmant I think? Anys I asked what department was that since I am retired from the US goverment and had never heard of that department.  She hung up. Above the phone number it is titled as 477047NZVU37E00 not sure what that is but if they were trying to pull a scam she called the wrong person so hopefully they will take me off thier call list.

Has called me three times today, I don't answer.  Caller id says it is from Egypt. Do not leave message.  Also have used number 477047NZVU37EOO, also shows up from Egypt.

Same thing I played along for a while asked him to hold on...googled the number, found out what it was and dragged it out as long as I could. Then I asked him If I could put him on hold for a few minutes. Sat the phone down an he was still on hold for 7minutes I came back then hung up lol

Same I got one one Monday and today I like to mess with them until they hang up

Keep calling I asked them what they wanted was asking for my husband told them they can talk to me the lady told me that  she was my husbands girlfriend and that she loved him got me very upset

Government grant scam

They have called 3 times today! As soon as I heard his horrible accent I knew it was a scam, all I had to hear him say was that he was calling from the US Government and knew that this was not true. I didn't even let him continue with his speech, I have asked him twice to not call me again, the 3rd time I did not answer. This is getting annoying!

called twice today - once as an Egypt number and once as a DC number.  thanks to the great info on this site, they are now blocked.  guess i won't be getting my grant!

Its a scam fake irs they want you to money gram or i-tune cards send them the ref number off them yaaa cuss the real irs wont even call you its a scam we waiste there time and troll these morons

Called me and I told them I  was employed by the Secret Service and they immediately hung up.

This number keeps calling me. When I say hello no one answers. I'm sick of this.

I have been having this number call.me for about two days and its getting quite annoying. I never.pick up. So to be curious i tried calling it back and it sait not a working number. So just what i thought its a scam. Please do not give.in to this if u dont want a serious mess.later.
