202-461-3446

ID on phone is "Cops" 202-461-3446 and ask for my family member by name.  When I tell them they are not here they say they will call back with no other information .  I do not believe it is law authority by telemarketer.

This is a scam - report the number, and times to your local District Attorney's office or the State Attorney Generals office.

I got the same call here in Calif twice over the past two weeks.  Weren't home either time and they didn't leave a message.  Anyone know what this is?

They've been calling nonstop for about two weeks now. I noticed the Caller ID changed from "Cops" to "C O P S". We never answered because the area code is completely unknown to us and we figured that if it was important that they'd leave a message. They continue calling and leaving absolutely no messages and we refuse to answer them. According to other websites, these people are trying to phish private information such as credit card information.

They are a legitimate 501(c)(3) with a legitimate non-profit tax ID.  They provide assistance to police officers and families of police officers who were wounded or killed in the line of duty.
Unfortunately, they hired an outside company to do their telephone fund raising and ... they are relentless :)  However, if you tell them you are not interested, they will leave you alone.

I answered the call.  They do not ask for any personal information, they already have your address.  About two weeks after I answered the call I received the "pledge forms" in the mail.  I have fully investigated them.  They are legitimate.  (see message above)

I received a call from this number several times and the caller ID says "Campaign Center."  Have received other calls from this number and ID says C O P S.  I NEVER answer these calls.

The number that comes up is 1-202-461-3446.
It does not say Cops....it says CCAN.
They call but never leave a message.

It isn't COPS--the caller ID says C C A N.  They start calling at 8am--call several times a day--if you answer, it hangs up.

202-461-3447 is similar to a number reported here but that ends in 6 which is a charity calling. But at 7 PM on a Saturday night?

They call at least once a day. I never answer and they usually don't leave a message, but today they did. in a low voice he sang "I can't do this any longer" (trying to sound like elvis) WEIRD!!
I know they want a donation for cops and there familys. I made the mistake of making a donation once and now they wont leave me alone. They even try using a long distance cell phone number. I love caller ID!

Just received ANOTHER call from this number - the 4th in a matter of days.  Sometimes the caller ID says COPS, sometimes Campaign Center, and sometimes, like tonight it says CCAN.  I finally decided to answer and tell them to take me off their list and when I became adamant about it, the man says, "Ma'am, we're just trying to cure childhood cancer."  Which is a bunch of bull.  Everyone has a different "caller type" from this same number.  I've put in a complaint to the DoNotCall Registry about this number.

I finally answered this call last week as I was soooooo tired of them calling and calling and calling.  I asked the man to take my name off the list and to never call again and he said that they were "just trying to cure childhood cancer" which I said was "bull."  Anyway, they called AGAIN today and I am very angry.  I have already put in a complaint at the DoNotCall registry and I am TIRED of this!!!!!!!!!!

They have called 10 times...I have requested that they not call us anymore, after the first 3 calls, but that did not make them stop; I am on the govt. do not call list...& even IF they consider themselves a sort of "charity"  I would not donate ANY money out of state, nor to any charity that contacts me....I already donate enough locally and that is more than sufficient....it should be illegal to hound people the way they do....even after you have said:  STOP !!!

I have gotten calls from 202-461-3446 every day for the past five days. It comes up NADPO on the caller id.  I don't answer and they never leave a message.  The 202 area code is Washington DC.

NADPO (name listed on caller ID....has called almost every day;;; even after I have picked up the phone and asked they quit calling...I belong to the govt. do not call list and the likes of these still persist...seems they love to aggravate... I consider this type a telemarketer that won't take NO for an answer..  completely illegal

Received call today from 202.461.3446.  The caller ID said AVC.  When I answered, "Hello.", the caller ask for my wife by name.  When I asked, "who are you?" the caller immediately said a few words that were difficult to comprehend and hung up.  I did a quick search on Google and found this website with other folks complaining about the same thing.

Not sure what to do at this point, but it does seem fishy.
