Automation with a female voice left message on voice mail saying it was a political survey and "we may call back."

    I don't talk to computers.

It's a push poll (a bogus "poll" that is really a political ad) opposing the gay marriage bill currently in front of my state legislature. I assume that it's something similar in other states.

When someone uses trickery and deception to harass you with their message, you do have to wonder about the cause they're backing.

    (202) 224-3121 . It's
Talked to someone who said they'd take my number off their list, but it was some kid who didn't sound very sincere.

It's from Iowa Republican Congressman Steve King.

Here's the number for his office.
    Phone: (202) 225-4426
Do you think maybe a half dozen calls to his office might annoy one of the  secretaries enough that it might make them mention something to their shameless boss ... some pushy White House robot, who doesn't see anything wrong with interrupting people multiple times in a single day? It wouldn't have minded so much, but Congressman King made it impossible to stop multiple calls from his umm..."broken(?)" SPAMBOT.

    Time for some FCC reform.

I just sent the following message to the NOM via the contact form on their website.  If nothing else, maybe it will at least piss them off. LOL

Had I heard about your organization by some other means than the annoying robo-caller (202-461-3452), I might have been a little more interested in your causes and actually taken the time read your website.  Unfortunately for you, however, I don't appreciate being harassed by anyone for any reason, including "political surveys".  So, because I have grown so tired of your calls, not only have I blocked your robo-number, but I have also formed very unfavorable lasting opinions of your organization.  And based on the information I found by searching online for that number, I'm far from alone.  Too bad for you, I guess.  What a way to help out the other side.....harass your potential support into hating you.

I replied to the one above me.
Each call afterwards I will reply to myself.
This will keep an account how many times they called me.
I have a DO NOT CALL & it does no good.
Perhaps whomever is running this site will collect this information.
When they get caught make them jerks pay a hefty $10K fine.
This will stop them of being a daily nuisance to the many descent.

Did not recognize # on caller id, so I let my machine get it.  The message left was "this is a public survey call, we may call back later."  This is the first time I've received a call from this number and I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Automated call from "Political Research". A series of loaded yes/no questions with an obvious conservative agenda (a push poll).

Nice rant...especially since it was someone on your side of the aisle with the faux-survey.  I agree with other reply...you're a nut!  But the people who send these kind of calls are far more dangerous.

Tonite received 3rd call in approx 1 week.  Called on my cell phone but apparently does not recognize voice mail as it just hung up.  I feel any phone solicitation is an invitation into my home, therefore my right to be "safe and secure in my home and property" outweighs any first amendment right exempting them from a "Do Not Call" list.  Even if the ringing of the phone is merely a minor annoyance, it is one I should not have to deal with without invitation.  As there is little chance of changing the political mind (or what most of those folks use as one), are there any techs out there with a simple blocker circuit?
