This number showed up on my Caller ID as Name Unavailable so, I didn't pick  up the call.  Now, I am glad I didn't as I see from other comments that it is that IRS scam.

I answer FBI people disconnect instantly..

Stated, when I called back that they were GSI, fund raiser for the Democratic party. I have never donated to any political party.

rather hostile call center person said he was with GCI supporting the DNC and wanted $100.00
I goggled and could find no connection between any GCI (there are several) and the DNC.
I strongly believe it is a scam.

Your unsolicited calls happen even though I have a number registered on the do not call list. If you are the Democrats, be warned: I will become a Republican, because you hound me at all hours and only want money. Go Jeb Bush and leave me alone, you twerps.

Yep it's a scam alright. GOP pulls out ALL the stops to make Dems look bad. It's their well-known MO. So, if you donated to DNC it's a matter of record, which they obtain, scam you for the money, (since they know you are willing to give) and when the scam is revealed it is revealed as bad publicity for Democrats. Please report to the DNC.

They're saying they are from"muffled words". Democratic Party.....read off a script.  Let her go through the whole pitch.  Then she asked for a $100 donation...because we can't do it without you! Told her I give online.  Still wanted a donation of maybe $75 .....because this helps them plan their budget.  Said sorry I give less and on a tight budget. I said thank you and hung up.

Refused to leave message..we wanted to talk to my wife.

Called me overnight (!) & left no message

Has been calling every day, sometimes multiple times, and I picked it up today without checking caller ID first.  They asked for me by name, I asked why, and they said it was a political call, but they did not identify who.  I said no, don't want those calls, don't call again.  I'm sure they will anyway.   Caller ID said "Wash DC call".

left no message..... I do not answer  unknown calls  or numbers with no name I recognized/I had the scam 2 X's from the "IRS"...........

Caller asked for me by name, and then hung up.  Very suspicious.

Who are they and why do they call if they won't leave a message?

Unknown caller from 202-470-4547 disturbed our afternoon with an unwanted call. I did not pick up and no message was recorded. I looked up the number at 800notes.com and found out that it had been identified as scam/phishing. So, I am reporting it.

Some indian woman called my cell phone and asked for me. As i dont give out the number for business calls  i hung up.

They called around 8:30 pm.  We have caller ID.  The ID said "not available" so I didn't pick it up.  Glad I didn't after reading some of this.  They did not leave a message.

Please wake up people, I had identify theft in 2010, remember IRS will never call you. They send letters in the mail and they never asked you to call them , you must report to their office in the city where you live. Be safe.

I was almost got by these scammers...I was leery from the start, I was already on payment plan. They knew everything about me...As I was talking to them I was looking up phone number...Has their employee number..Then I heard a baby crying..Asked for number to call them back...called back got different person...but right away..Have you ever called the IRS you can be waiting a hour...They had to be working together...This one said I needed to make a payment within the next 15 days ans how I would like to pay for this....IRS has NEVER as for a payment over the phone... Long story called IRS scam line...and reported...this was is November...Guess they started calling again...
