Yes it is.  The words "take care" are clearly the signature of Indian scammers.  Ignore them.

Got this call from the 'IRS' letting me know I was going to be jailed for back taxes!  5 years!  Hindu a$$#01e

Just got one of these calls. I had heard on the news that these calls are making the rounds.

The people are criminals posing as the IRS.  Report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484.  The link to the IRS scam page is http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Reiterate ... -Telephone-Scam 

I believe it was Fox Business News that warned of this scam.  If I remember correctly, the IRS will not call you.  They write letters. It is up to you to call them if necessary.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I woke up to a recording informing me that it was Hada Gray(?)  from the IRS and that there would be legal action taken if I did not return call. Just seemed unlike the IRS. Also the fact that the "Hotline" number wasn't toll free was weird to me since I live in Ohio.  The message was very muffled.

I got the same message on my machine saying it was Heather Graham from the IRS with stilted speech patterns. Sounded like a computer generated voice. I'm not going to call back.

Received a call from 202-506-9108 with an automated message threatening "legal allegations" if I did not return the call to this "IRS Officer".  First of all, the term "Legal Allegations" is silly and second, the IRS would send a letter and not use an automated system to threaten you with arrest.

Do NOT return the call and you should report this to the FTC!

I got a message on my land-line saying... don't disregard this message. Will take legal action. Good bye and Take care!  What!?  I'm a lawyer and this is not official.  No US government office will leave a message saying "Good bye and Take care!"

Received a call from 202-506-9108 threatening "legal allegations" and ended with good-bye and "take care", both of which tipped me off that it was a scam....

Scam Alert.   This guy who identified himself as Thomas Waters of the IRS said the IRS would be filing a lien at the courthouse in two hours unless a payment of delinquent taxes  was made. bs! When I asked for evidence that I was speaking with the IRS he said the proof would be delivered by the police when they arrive. That's when I knew. Beware.

Call early Saturday morning "Agent Hatgrave?" or something like that  Urgent matter, please contact us before we take legal action against you"  "take care"

Received two calls this morning within an hour or so apart.  Deleted messages claiming to be IRS with "urgent to call them back" which is stupid since most people know that IRS does not call.  They send letters.

Missed 2 calls from this number.  Called them back and they answered Internal Revenue Service.  I said I was returning their call.  They started asking me my name and phone number.  I said I was not comfortable giving that information.  They hung up on me!

got several calls from this number,  pretending to be irs.  the threatenend to have me arrested if
i didnt give them $20,000.  you need to call the police if you get a call from this number.

Got 2 calls today a recording tht was muffled name and business title something Grey and saying I owed IRS luje 3,577 and if I did nt pay I would be going to jail and I need to contact a attorney.  I called H&R Block and they looked it up and said it was a scam and on the computer it showed up as ymax told me if they keep callin to make a police report for harassment. BE CAREFUL!

On 7/7/2014 I got two calls from this number, and in both there was a threat and warning in case I ignore the call and do not call back.
