I first received a phone call from 202-506-9216 - a man with a thick mideast accent saying he was from the IRS.  When I hung up on him, he called again--very angry that I had hung up.  He then proceeded to tell me there was a problem with my "previous year" taxes and I needed to act immediately to prevent problems.  I responded that I didn't believe the IRS would be calling on a SATURDAY for immediate action without having first sent a letter and hung up again.  Five minutes later I received a call from 415-251-5897, which I did not answer.  From reading the previous 800notes.com comments, this number also claims to be from the IRS.  I don't know if the two numbers are connected, but it seems to be too much of a coincidence!

In particular:
In addition to the regular reporting channels, e.g., the Department of the Treasury, the FTC, and your local state attorney general's office, you might also report the abuse to YMAX Corp.  I have seen reports that they are pretty good at responding to complaints and may be able to permanently shut off a magicJack device, if necessary, so that it can never be used again.

Same with me ,i am form texas they say need call back to take again action. Need investigation who call every one same message

I got the same call too. I asked him why he did not call my CPA and he just insisted I should call this 202 number myself. Therefore, I know this is a scam.

Same exact message with "Officer Heather Graham"  message is very threatening.  DON'T CALL THEM BACK!

Just got threatened that I owe back taxes, I need to speak to a supervisor to make payment arrangements, Informed the caller I have handed their phone # to FBI used phone # 202-506-9216 calls about 6 times a day

Received the same call, computer generated voice by the name of Hannah Grey with the IRS. Phone number to call back is (585)444-7053

Yup, I got an email saying I had a readable voice message with Hannah Grey saying the same thing...As I was calling I googled the number because no one was answering which I though to be very odd and glad I did...Bunch of d-bags!

2025069216 called me at 9 o'clock with a recorded message stating that it was iris case number blah blah blah and call back so I did some oriental man ast my name could not pronounce it as indicated by others and said sorry wrong number hung up on me

I got the same type of call (bogus IRS) on May 7, thus...........whoever is pulling this scam is still at it.

Please call Officer Heather Graham of the IRS investigations Dept.   Don't disregard this message or legal action will pursue.
Called the number back and some guy with and  Indian Accent stating he was John Anderson.  Read me some legal
document saying I was gonna be charge with Fraud and Tax Evasion.    Said if I did not pay him at least $1000 right now,
and payment arrangement for remainder that he was have the Sheriff come and arrest me and my husband within and
hour and a half.  Freeze my bank acct, Drivers license,and property and I would go to prison at least 5 yrs.  Called
my Attorney and was told it was a Scam.

Getting several calls daily, which when answered are from heavily-accented man who says he is Richard Brown with the IRS badge number 12M457. He claims to call concerning my tax "deficiency" which he cannot pronounce, has our names and address, and threatens legal action. He is also rude and sarcastic. Background noise sounds like a call center, and comments left on <www.callercenter.com> concerning 415-230-2734 describe nearly identical calls we're getting from 202-506-9216.

It's same here. Today I got 3 voice messages, same woman voice, same talking for each word, but in 3 different phone numbers, which are 202-506-9216, 202-506-9225, 202-506-9194.

It's really scam!!!

Its a huge scam!

BEWARE!

This the same scam as a few months ago that was coming from Northern California.  DO NOT return these calls.  I am an Enrolled Agent, a tax professional.  I have received calls from this number at my home and calls from the other number at my office.

Follow what Tamianth said above and also go to www.ftc.gov.  Fill out the forms to report fraud.  If did return the calls, take note of what they say and their names.  Include that in your reports.

Just got 1 too from a "Hannah Gray from the IRS".. My father left me a note so it on the answer machine&it certainly got him nervous lol. Caller ID came up "District of Columbia" which at 1st males u think it's legit, but a few things warranted extra info...#1-I'm disabled&haven't worked in many years&in fact am "exempt"on.SSI&SSD!! My dad was  a Gov. Auditor, which a Master's in Accounting&therefore ALWAYS did our taxes, so I know we should be all good there! #2- Suspicious thing was there was no specific name the message was left or addressed to- tho the beginning was cut off from my home machine recording, that's always a BIG clue. I'm glad I decided to look this up 1st. Seems it was on the news according to someone else. Also I agree they would most likely approach us by mail and not just leave an automatic voice generated message if it were legit&it was something so urgent..!

Claiming to be Hannah or Hannah Grey from the IRS, It is a BIG SCAM.  NO, DO NOT call that number back.  Oh yes and of course the message said call back right away, as it is time sensitive to avoid legal action!  B.S.

Received a call from "IRS Agent Hannah Gray" stating to call back before legal action taken. Number to call back was 202-506-8051.
