They say that they are Heather Gray from the IRS. BS - IRS never does this - It's a scam !!

PLEASE  NOTE !!!   THESE  SCAMMERS  ARE ALSO IMPERSONATING   THE  US  GOV'T /  SEVERAL  GOV'T  OFFICES AND   PERSONS....BEWARE !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers  in  INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  your    bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

Caller: 202 AREA CODE FRAUD SCAMS

The following message was left: "The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. With the IRS my officer.  Do not disregard this message and do return the call before we take any legal allegation against you. Goodbye and take care".

7AM Las Vegas 21 June received call from 202 506 9654 identifying themselves as the IRS in a computer masked voice.  Odd.  Googled IRS & #, and fold a lot of links.  

08.09 sat morning rec a call from this number claiming they were from irs I guess they should learn to speak English ,but in Obama world you don't have to

Say she is from IRS, call back immediately before they take further action.

IT IS SPAM, and today is Saturday June 21st, 2014,  The scam is alive and well!  Here is what happened and what led me here...
IRS Calling?!  (Fri. evening 6/20, Sat. 12:30pm 6/21…so far!)
Keep getting (2 so far, Fri. & Sat.), recorded messages from this number stating it is pre-recorded message, on behalf of an Officer Heather (or Hanna) Grey of the IRS, telling me that I, (or my Attorney), better return the call immediately for, “an issue that is extremely urgent”, and that I had better not “ignore the message!”

I was wondering why IRS would call me on Saturday. So decided t check on Google before responding.

I called back the number and an Indian man answered the phone with a thick accent and wanted the number they called.  I said "You should already have my number" and I said "I'm not sure I believe you are the IRS" and he said, "then do not call us" and hung up on me.  If it were real then they wouldn't hang up.  They are probably trying to get social security numbers.

The number was not blocked on my phone (iPhone Sprint).

What do we do about this?

Well i got a call from the same number 202-506-9654, All i could understand was this is the IRS don't ignore this message before we take legal actions against you, I called the number back from my house phone, and there was a automatic message saying please leave your number and we will call you back, yeah right. It pisses me off people are out there trying to scam hard working people. And most of the time they get away with it,

Got this call at 9:29AM in north metro Atlanta.  
Computerized voice says it is Agent Heather Gray from Internal Revenue Service.  Need to have myself or my attorney return the call. Issue is time sensitive so no legal action will take place.

Googled number it  belongs to a property management company(with only 1 employee) on Jay Street in Washington, DC.

Its a scam!

Got the call an hour back (8:04 AM CST Dallas Texas) threatening voicemessage from IRS.
When I returned, the person stating himself as IRS investigation officer verified my phone# and started speaking in Hindi - started laughing and disconnected.

Received same call as above. Claiming to be irs. Calledback, man with heavy accent asked for different person. Told him wrong number. He hung up. Total scam. And I just was scammed with credit card yesterday also. Beware.

Claimed to be from IRS

Received call on cellphone which is not listed on tax return. Caller said to not ignore the call and to return call before they (IRS) takes action against me. When I called the number it immediately went to voicemail. Family member works for the IRS - the IRS does not make this sort of call. The IRS contacts you in writing! SCAM!!

I got the same automated message as several other people from 202-506-9654 stating it is Hanna Gray from the IRS and that I or my attorney should call back or the would take legal "allegations" against me.  I will not call back this is definately a SCAM . I also have a friend who works for IRS and she said they will send letters and real people call you not automated messages.
Wish someone would catch them and lock them up.

DO NOT CALL THEM BACK OR GIVE ANY INFO!!
