I received a call from this number this morning.  I have received many but not sure if it was the same number used.  Anyway, I know it is a scam and wanted to report that it is still going on.

I just received a phone call from 202-506-9750 threatening me that they were the irs and I needed to contact my attorney and then them asap before they took legal action on me. This is gotta stop, I am so tired of my privacy being invaded.

Call blocker is your best bet.   There's no way the calls will stop.

Got a message on answering machine from 202-506-9750 supposedly from IRS.   I thought it was a scam, googled the number and found this site verifying I was correct. Ignore and report!

I received a voice message on my home phone from this number stating that I needed to contact them, they said they were from the IRS and that I or my attorney needed to contact them immediately and not to disregard this message. The lady in the message said she was an officer with the IRS and her name was Julie.

I got this call this morning from a John Hall with the IRS Collection Action Division who says I'm to be arrested for back taxes for the last seven years. Since I work for the government, this bozo has no idea who he just called. I turned the number over to IT and they traced it to a Magic Jack in Virginia. "John" threatened me with an arrest at my office, and I am all too happy to oblige, as my office is in the Federal Building, where some of John's "friends" are eagerly waiting to talk to his counterparts here in El Paso.

I too received this call demanding a deficiency payment.  Police action was threatened.  I told the caller I wanted to speak to his supervisor and he hung up.

He has already got $1,000'00 from me and said he was a detective he's going by the name James miller, Marc victor and who else knows what other names. This is ridiculous and you know what your a criminal taking money people work so hard for and get a real job grow up. Your worthless and stupid I guess that's y you are who u are

How can you call the scammer "worthless and stupid" when they collected $1000 from you?
It seems you are worth less now than before you sent the money, and the scammer was smarter than you!

The "IRS Tax scam" warnings have been advertised for a LONG time.  Too bad you were busy doing other things, instead of reading those warnings.

There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Received call from 202-506-9750 saying it is urgent I return call .  Posed as IRS

So for the past couple of days, I've been getting these IRS scam calls.  A quick google search suggests it's all a scam, which I learn to post here on this site.  The first couple of calls is from a couple of Indian guys who have trouble speaking proper American English. The third call I received now had a female robot voice after I returned their call and asked to stop calling me.  

Lately I've been searching for these on youtube.  Some of their pranks in return are hilarious!

Obviously this is an automated call, or from an idiot that does not know to wait for the beep.  Only caught the back end of the message threatening to take legal action against me.  Hope this [***] gets caught and spends a lot of time behind bars!

No!!!!  Got  same call and voice mail , looked up real I.R.S website , not real contact number . They would contact you by mail.

Hard to understand how you could be fooled by these [***].  The Indian accent should have been a flashing red light, as well as the stupid threats about getting the police out to you.
