I receive calls everyday on my work cell phone, no message is left. When I first answered, it was a pre-recorded message about expiring auto insurance with another phone number to call.  How do you stop them from calling?

i recieved a call from these people but i have not posted my number anywhere online ever... i have no idea how they got a hold of my number, maybe somebody posted a fake number and it happened to be mine? o well, in any case, never posted my number online and i still recieved a call, didn't answer and no voicemail..

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago on my business line. Another call claiming my auto warranty is expiring. It doesn't expire until 2012.

I just got a call from this number. It went to my answering machine, and when I listened to the message it was all static. It said it was Washington DC.....funny thing is unlike most of these people me or my family has never used Orbitz.

the called the house and I didn't pick up.  I saw the US United Collection on the caller ID, and thought it was someone I owed money to.....Now that everyone mentions orbit.com, I did happen to go to there website the other day looking at airline tickets.

Got a call from this number & they tried to get me to check some 3 digit code on my printer.  I asked who she was & she told me she was with the company who sold us our printer but refused to say the company name.  I then asked which printer they wanted me to check, as we have 2 from 2 different manufacturers.  She said either one- it doesn't matter.  How can that be?  I asked again that she identify herself, & she naturally became agitated since she knew I had pegged her to be a scam.  She told me I was confused & I politely said, "Well I'll let you go then - thanks!" and hung up.  Get this - she actually called back & when I answered she said "[***]..." & hung up.  I'm laughing my ass off right now - she's the loser who can't even find a real job that's legal & I'm an idiot for knowing better - hilarious!

So, long story, but the new scam is copiers now.  (On a side note - I called the number back & got the recording about mortgages).

Got a long voice mail about low interest loans.  It said "If you'd like to hear more, press 7" -- useless since it was just a message.  So it was annoying *and* stupid.

Recieved a call from this number?  Said I was in good standing with my local gas company (Nicor)  If I would like to save money and buy from them, a china gas company????   Give me a freaken break.  What is this world coming to.  How they got my number is a mystery.   Phone number came up on my caller ID as  COLLEUS UNITED.

I just called this number back & the recording went: "Thank you for calling Mortgage Services, we are contacting you to inform you of your options with home financing needs....etc". The caller ID read: Washington DC

Call the number back, and it is a home equity mortage company.  I rent in Boston, so unknown how they got my covert cell number.

I got a call from them today. I ignored it. It's 11:22 am and I have received over 6 telemarketing calls this morning starting at 8:45 am. I am seriously thinking about changing my number. This is getting out of control!

Orbitz is owned by Cendant which sells timeshares, and has just split up into  four separate companies, they own Avis and Budget car rentals, and Coldwell banker real estate.

This is 3rd call.  Leaves stern recorded message on my voice mail.."I have sent you several notices by mail and you FAILED to respond.  This is your FINAL renewal notice regarding your auto warranty"!!!!!????????

we have recieved multiple calls  from 1-202-552-1332 and when answer you have "no voice"; but they do leave a message saying they are  a "collected agency and you need to call this number right away". when you call
the number above you get a "home mortage."
I have reported this to our local D.A.

I know for a fact that these are the same people that own 585-492-8968, as I have spoken to their account rep at their carrier (which is global crossing) as well as my local police department when I filed a complaint and had the cops call their carrier. We were able to successfully have them stop calling our business, and when I saw that this number was calling, I immediately called the police again and they gave me the info to call the company directly. If you call the 585-492-8968 and then call 202-552-1332, you will notice that they have the exact same message. The guy from their IT department told me that if we got any more calls from any other numbers, all I had to do was call the number back and if that message plays then it is one of their numbers since they have 500 numbers that they use. I did have to take it to the extreme of filing a police report in order to press charges if they don’t stop (which I planned to anyway) but they have completely stopped calling us and have basically blocked our entire area code just to ensure that they don’t violate the law anymore. As an extra bonus I do have the main IT guy’s cell phone number now and can call him directly if we have anymore issues.

keeps calling my cell phone everyday, very irritating.  I'm not working due to an illness. dont want to be bothered with calls from an unknown number.

The caller was on my cell phone, claiming at first to be a survey and when I advised them they were calling a cell phone the person shifted gears and stated that it was a cell phone survey -- I happen to know that cell phone numbers are not supposed to appear on call lists and I have not released this number for publication.

I'm not an Obitz user but I got a call twice from this number I didn't answer becuase I don't answer numbers I don't know. I don't get it why the F*** are they calling???? Does anyone know?
