I TOO JUST GOT SCAMMED BY ORBITZ-AND THIS GD #!!

orbitz must be making some $ off this racket - i just bought air tix and even though i don't list my real ph # usually, i figure i better so airline can get through in case. NOT MORE THAN 3 MINUTES AFTER COMPLETING TRANSATION OF PURCHASING TIX ON ORBITZ, BOTH MY HOME PHONE AND CELL PHONE START RINGING AT SAME TIME- GUESS WHAT CALLER ID?! i answered home phone- nobody said anything - so i swore at them, told them take me off their list forever, and to eat s**t and die while they are at it.

I just got a call from Rich @ 202-552-1332 regarding my car warranty.  The guy said he was calling from Trans America Warranty.  They call me just about every day.  I have asked to be taken off their call list on numerous occasions.  I am also on the do not call list.  The caller ID said - US United Collection

I received and continue to receive calls from this number 202-552-1332, I believe so, since I *69'd the number on one of our business lines.  It is an occasional call with a recording warning me that several letters have been sent, and that I need to speak to someone.  It rings forever, then I usually get some deep voiced gentlemen, who asks for car information after identifying himself as Warranty Services Center.  I said I could not hear him, he repeated what he wanted, I said okay, well,.....he hung up, and that's what they always do.  The number according to 411 is associated with Mortgage Services in the 202 area code, 2233 Wisconsin Avenue.  However, calling that number-202-625-1221 is a business that says yes, we are mortgage services but were called Cornerstone, and we are not affiliated with other number.  There is no information at all on yellow pages or other searches for this number.

If I call this number itself, there is a recording with options to receive more information, not for Warranty Service Center, but for Mortgage Services.

Just got a call, 7pm Friday night.  No message left.  Where are these fools getting my number??

Just received a call, third time in two weeks from the same number. 'Press One to renew your vehicle's warranty' I press ONE, not given any other option to be removed from their list. 'What is the make and model of your vehicle?' I think don't you have it … once again … then ask for his supervisor. 'Why?' 'What is the reason?' 'He will want to know why.' I ask once more still he resists in getting me a senior-level manager, then as he is trying to talk over me — the line goes dead.  I have told them over and over to remove my number, nothing seems to be happening. THIS NEEDS TO STOP.

Yes I to am pissed off they called my father and yelled at him saying he owed for a car loan. He has not driven for years and could not understand
what they wanted.

Called me on 10/9/07. Female Robot started talking....I hung up.

THIS COMPANY IS HARRASSING ME AND I HAVE AN UNLISTED NUMBER!!  PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO STOP IT ....THE PHONE CO. WAS NO HELP.   IT IS SO INTRUSIVE!!  I AM ILL AND IT MAKES ME SO NERVOUS AS THO I AM BEING INVADED!

I only give out my Virgin Mobile pay-as-you-go cell phone # to friends & family for emergencies.  The phone is basically for MY convenience.  I just got a call at work from this number, silenced it, and the call went to voicemail.  Something about a sparkling white smile?!?  Only half a message, since their recording obviously didn't know they'd reached my voicemail.  I'm glad I didn't pick up.  I don't know anybody in Washington DC!

Just got 2nd call.  This time, message was left regarding my failure to reply by mail to a warranty that is nearly expired.  I have no warrenties close to expiring.  Grrr....

have recieved several calls from this # about my auto warranty, over serveral months,  i have never had a new car. my phone company said to enter " *-57" thats suppose to be " star dash five seven" that will put a trace on it, at the phone company, then write down the number and call the police 'non emergency #"  tell them that you keep being harassed and you have dialed "*-57" after you received the call, that allows the police access to the trace you put on the call, then please drag them into court!!!!

To all who have had to suffer this inane crap, we found that this number belongs to a customer of the carrier Global Crossing. They can be reached at 406-651-4028. Tell them that you want to lodge a complaint about this number to their security department. You will need to fill out a security compaint beforehand. Called my cell phone.  I didn't pick up.  I listened to the voice mail later which contained the second half of the recording about a home equity loan.  They probably got my number from Orbitz too.  I've used their service but never "registered" or created an account and certainly never allowed them to give my information out to 3rd parties.  Not only is it against the law to telemarket to cell phones but my cell phone is listed in the do not call registry.

Same story with this number.

Got two calls from this number on my cell.
First one on 10/09 - an automated voice of a lady about expiration about my auto warranty. Heck, I am a college student I don't even own a car.

Second one on 10/12 - an automated voice of a male - same thing.

How do we stop these.
