This guy with an asian accent keeps calling saying stuff like he wants to [***] my girlfriend and saying to [***] basically harrassing me im tired of it so I took my girlfriends hone and talked to him and basically called him back aot till he got scared and stoed caling he even ut a lady to seak for him I just want them to stop.

A call from US Grants (when asked, the caller didn't know what company he was representing), Asian accent, gave me a code # saying I qualified for a $7000 grant with no strings attached and gave me this # to call to follow up.  The office was already closed when I called.

I received a call from unknown number and was told that I had won a $7000 grant and had to call 202-621-0363 to verify my information.  Once I called this number, I was told to go to the local Western Union office and take $200 cash and fill out paperwork and the $7000 would be sent to be within 10 minutes along with the original $200 that I had paid..

I got a call from this number saying I had won 7000 dollars grant money and I needed to go to a western union and send them 170 dollars for a charity to receive my grant money I googled them because they said they were from the federal reserved bank and its all a scam please becareful

Just got a call from this unknown number. The guy sound like Indian decent, claim himself from the US grant govt. stating I was select for a free grant of 7k, then give me a number show above to call which I did again encounter an Indian accent, tell me to bring 260 cash to a local western union in order to receive this fund. Beware please these are stupid Indians trying to get a quick buck from the hard work American citizens. Here's an advise to them. Please try  to learn  English right before scamimg people cuz we are having  a hard time understanding u idiots!,,,,,,,,,,,

I have had unknown callers try and contact me three times today.  Finally, I answered and was given a code and asked to call the 202 621-0363 number.  I was asked to take $210 to Western Union to receive $7,000. Though they were Asian, they gave very American names. Both said they were with US Grants.

Well you shut one down, and they pop up somewhere else. This squashed cockroach moved again the first Tuesday of 2012. "Send me $200 via Western Union and get a $7000 grant immediately…" 202-621-0363 U.S. Grant
which translates to
"Send us any untraceable amount of cash, and we vanish mysteriously with it."

I recieved the same call and they wanted $100 to send me my $7000 so as a fool I sent the money and it was suppose to cost me $110 but I didn't have the ten so the Lady by the name of Amber from the company sending me the money said to only send $99 and so I did and she gave me a number for the bank so I hung up and called the number and no answer. Surprise so I tried to call back amber at that number and the recording voice was the same voice as Ambers. I called western union and they said my money was stll there and refunded me all of it back. Amber called me yesterday and told me that they don't take the money until I recieve My money. I asked her for a tax ID # and she couldn't  give me one. She tried calling me today but I didn't answer.

The call I recieved with the same # said they were from India and the money I send would go to those in need in India. I reported it to Western Union and also to my local police Department.

The phone number I was to call, (202) 621-0363, sounded strange. I thought that the prefix 202 was from some island in the Bahamas. Tried to reverse call the number and got a location (Washington DC) but couldn't get a name. Contacted police and they said to forget it, sounded too much like a scam. Reading the other comments confirms that. Thank you to you guys for the insight.

i just got the same information as all of you. He gave me the 202 number told me to call imediately to recieve the money. I asked him the reason why i was qualified and he said because i dont have any criminal record and i've been picked. I guesss they pick the innocent one that doesn't have any criminal record co scam them, what a jerk!! I asked for his name and it's Mac! he's speaking with an Indian accent too. He also gave me a code confirmation of KN111.

by the way, I also asked him why your number is blocked he said cuz he called over the internet. hmm..sounds like calling from an internation country cuz internet is the only cheap way to connect.

I recieved the same call with the same number to call back.  I am really glad that I have had government grants before because when she said they can't just send a check in the mail I knew it was a scam.  People really need to be careful.  Never give personal information over the phone and true government grants never cost you money.  So if they want you to send any money it is a scam.

I received this same call yesterday and today.  Telling me the same thing that I had gotten a grant from US Federal Grants Department.  There is no such department within the Federal Government.  The second call came from the Virgin Islands.  Both people gave me two different confirmation numbers and the same 2026210363 number to call.  I am not going to call, but I have gotten calls for the last two days for this.

I just got the call too at 7:35 AM, Friday Jan 20. 2012, from "U.S. Federal Grants Department in Washington D.C.".  He said I was selected for a $7,000 tax-free grant because of no crminal record and paying my bills on time.  I told him he's stupid if he thinks I'm going to call the number and that this is a phishing call.  He ignored my remark and continued with his script.  I found him difficult to understand -- Indian (?) accent with somewhat slurred speech, and he very much stuck to his script.
