An unknown number has been calling for the past week or so but i don't answer unknown numbers. They kept calling so i finnally said let me see who this is. Whnen i did answer they hung up. Then they  (man w/ an accent) called me Jan. 20, 2012 at 11:15 am, telling mne i had been chosen to win a $7000 grant because i have never filed for bankruptcy and because i pay my bills on time...i asked where he was calling from and hen first said "Federaln Reserve Bank" then i asked him to repeat so thnat i could write it down and he said "The US federal Grants Dept." He gave me a code GR143 and a number to call 202-559-4636 for a Bryan Smith. I wrote down what he said so i could google it and i could find no suchn place. Thne only thing i found was this scam list. They also called me this morning and told me if i did not call today i would not get the money. so after reading this list i called to see if they would tell me the same thing. I guess i took too long because he asked when i received the call i told him yesterday and today and he said "I will call you back". I knew it was fake because nthe government doesn't just hand out checks like that.

Well you shut one down, and they pop up somewhere else. This squashed cockroach moved again the first Tuesday of 2012. "Send me $200 via Western Union and get a $7000 grant immediately…" 202-621-0363 U.S. Grant which translates to "Send us any untraceable amount of cash, and we vanish mysteriously with it."

I keep getting this callais well and also from an unknown number that has way too few digits 0010000 that keeps appearing on my mobile. I keep telling them to stop calling but to no avail. Going to report them to State Attorney Generals Office.

They must think we are all gullible. They all have thick Indian or Pakistani accents with names like Mark Jones or some such. Probably more like something unpronounceable.  I wonder how many people will be taken in if they actually get callers who sound like they could be "Mark Jones".
