I received a call from 202-580-8135, susan smith.  she said she is from the u.s. government and is authorized to transfer $7000 into my account for a fee of $129.  This money is supposedly a grant.  I didn't fall for it, but be careful.  This one apparently got my personal information and knew I applied for a pell grant to go to a technical school in Inverness, FL.

Same message same # same person.  Same charges...and I was told this money was from Washington D.C. and the Federal Government. I wasalso told the $129.00 fee was for third world countries such as Sri Lanka, etal.  They knew I'd applied for grant information to go to a Junior College in my area.  They tolde me the $ could not be used for gambling, drinking, or wine.  LOL, Why wouldn't the government just deduct the $ from the grant?

I just received a call from a "Frank Adkins" (202)888-7770) saying that I was randomly selected to receive a grant for $8400.00 from the US Treasury Dept. Naturally I did not apply for a grant and can't imagine getting one for nothing. But being a 10 year US Navy Vet and former Govt. employee I wanted to get more information. So I gave them an old bank account number, told him I didn't believe him and that I wanted to speak to his manager. His manager "James Miller" (202-905-0702) couldn't be reached but I left a voicemail. All the while "Frank" was still on the other line, like I asked him to be. I then got call waiting from 202-741-0768 and miraculously it was James Miller (not at his number mentioned earlier). When I spoke with him I asked that he give me his supervisors contact information, that I worked for the government and I don't believe a word of this. He hung up. I switched back to "Frank" who continued to try ton convince me that it was the real deal. this lasted until I told him that I cannot imagine that this is a real government program (that wouldn't mail a letter, or write a check, or be contacted otherwise) and that I was going to report them. "Frank" then hung up. Don't fall for this junk. Report it. Call the D.C.Attorney gernerals office. Special Agent Kenneth Barrington @202-741-0768.

I got a call yesterday from a lady telling me that I got qualifyed to received a free money grant from the US treasure of 7000 and how Im in a time of need I believed it... but after a confirmation number she gave me, she asked me how I want to receive the money? giving me an option to account visa, mastercard, american express or cash, I replied if I can get a check, she told me they cant mail a check because is  direct deposit, so I notice something wrong with that, so I choose cash and then she ask me for my address what I fooly gave her, then she told me to call Mike Parker to a number she gave me... After she hung up the call, I was thinking why I didnt heard anything in the news about a free money grant from the goverment, then I call my sis in law and she told me to be carefull about Scamssssssss!!!! Now I'm so scared I gave my address to that lady.... Holy shhhhtttt why I never read about this dmmm scams!!
