A woman called my parents offering a discount program for their existing Medicare insurance, saying they will be able to save even more. She then proceeded verifying their address and asked for their ssn and bank account info. My mom refused to give it and hung up. I reported the number on the gov. website and advice everyone to do the same. These people should be stopped!  

I keep getting calls from this number but they don't leave a message. When I call back I get a message saying, "The WIP phone user you dialed is not currently on line. Please try your call again later."

No message ever left but when you call back I get a lady with a British tone to her voice saying the same thing at Scott said.

This number was on my caller ID back-to-back today.  I called back and got the same message as Scott from above.

Got calls from this number twice.  When I called back, I got the same message as Scott.  I answered call once and there was background music playing, and at the end a recording said, "Thank you" and hung up.

I received a call from this number from a man with a accent saying he was from "Medical Office Provision in NY" said he had a perscription card. He got my address and then wanted my bank account number. I told him I did not have it.

A lady with a heavy accent (she sounded Indian) called, saying she was from the Medical Information something or other and asked me a question about social security. I did not understand her question. She asked, "so you're not on social security?" I said no. A few seconds later, the line disconnected.

Missed calls twice.  Caller won't leave message.

Wow! yesterday a guy called me on my cell phone that number. I don't know how he know my cell phone number but that scare when i asked him how he got my number then he hung up the phone right away. The next day i try to called that nunmbers it said that number its not online. It telling me the person using a online phone card and called people from his computer.

Same as above in all cases. Too bad we have people ignorant enough to give out private information and now, these scammers think all of us are as gullible.

Same deal as the rest of you.  I had a guy call me from that number.  My caller ID said that it was from Washington D.C.  but the caller said he was in NY.  He asked if I was on Medicare and I said no and had ins. from my employer.  He then asked me how much money I made.  I didn't give him an answer and began asking him about who he was and his organization.  He hung up immediatey.  Be careful with this one gang!

My grandmaw received two calls from this phone number. When she awsnered the first time she realized that it was a telemarketer and she then hung up. A few minutes later the phone rang again and my grandmaw seen that it was the same number, so she didn't answer it and went on with her business. She checked the answering machine later that day and there was a message from the second time when the woman called back cussing my grandmaw for hanging up on her.

Rceived call from 202-664-1271, saying I owed 400 dollars on a vacation package I purchased in 2004, using a visa card. Since I never puchased a vaction package, I asked him to vaify the info. on the card he wouldn't do so. I started to question him and he hung up on me. This a scam operation. I will be notifying the proper agencies.

My mother received a similar call from a man with an accent. He told her he was with Social Security and started questioning her.  When she asked where he was located, the man hung up on her.  Like Dave, I will be notifying the proper authorities.

Received call on 3/23/2007. The person (would not provide name and had distinct accent) represented herself as calling medicare patients who she could save $$. Upon advising her I already had supplemental insurance, she was persistent in insisting this was a government sponsored program that would benefit me. She asked for my bank information and SSN. I refused to provide her any info other than I WAS NOT INTERESTED.  She then swore at me and hung up.  I called the number back that was  on my caller id.  I received a recording of person with British accent saying the party was not on line.

I came home tonight to find a 1-second message on my answering machine.  Caller ID said that the call came from 202-664-1271.  This was around 6:30 pm March 27, 2007.

Funny thing is that my phone number is in the 519 area code - which is Ontario (Canada).  Who-ever it is, they either don't know they're calling Canada, or don't care.
