Just received a call from this number.  It was an automated message with a person's name inserted.  I am not this person.  This is a somewhat new work cell phone.  
It basically said there were charges about to be filed against me in my county. (They used the words "your county" not the specific county I live in) and that I had to call back to get legal help before the charges were filed.  Otherwise, they couldn't help me.

Total scam.

I filed a complaint with the FTC.  It's easy to do and doesn't take long.

Just got the same automated phone call on my cell phone asking for my sister and said the same exact thing...SCAM!

caled to say that my name and social is attached to filing in my county for fraudulent activity.
this is not a legal collection matter, nor can they leave messages saying these things.
perhaps it's a scam like everyone on this discussion says.

I have received 4 calls from them over the last few weeks. They call about charges that have allegedly been filed against me and want to provide me with legal aid services. However the have the wrong number and I do not have any pending charges against me. I have called them back to have them remove my number from their system and they say the do but they don't really (not that I am surprised). I will be filing a complaint with the FCC.

Just received a call on our answering machine asking for Anthony Prim.  The message gave the number 202-697-4451 to call for more info.  I called but they did not ask for any money or information about us.  Said they would remove my number (I gave it to them).  When I asked who called, they said it was an automatic dialer, but could not give me a name.

Last week I got a different type of message last week a lady at this same phone#.  She stated I was being charged for fraud and writing bad check (because I closed my checking account).   When i spoke to her she stated the debt was from Maznum Z / Debt Doctor.  She stated I owed $480.00 which was back in 2008. Now with interests & other fees they wanted around $1100.  I told her that I did not have any money.  She stated let her check to see what she can do. She was gone less then a minute and she came back to say that they will offer me a one time settlment of $830.00 but i had to pay it by the end of this month and I will be paid in full.  I told her no.  She then put me on hold for less then a minute and came back again and said good news, if I can pay $630.00 within 5 days I will be paid in full.  I told her no.  She then stated then I will owe the entire bill of $1100 and they would need $200.00 biweekly.  I asked her to send me something either via email or postal service with my name, account#, debtor and what I currently owe.  She stated that there was nothing she could send me because they only have the account with what I owe.  I then asked her Magnum Z / Debt Doctors phone# or anything so I can have them send me something.  She stated they would not have anything because my file is no longer with them.  I told her that I did not know her and that I did not feel comfortable giving my personal info over the phone.  She then put me on hold and Supervisor was on the line.  I let him have it to.  I asked him if they had no phone# etc to give me for Magnum Z then who was the lady getting the settlement offers from?  He did not answer that.  He just said that they were a mediator.  I told him that this was unacceptable and that I did not feel right giving my info when I don't know them from the people down the street. He then stated that he is sure that I have given give my banking info over the phone.  I told him yes to my cable co, phone co, light co, gas company because they send me statements each month as to what I owe by postal mail or via email.  He tried to tell me once I set up the first payment then I will get something via email from Magnum Z.   I told him that I was going to do a little more digging on them and Magnum Z.   Well today 10/22/14 I got a voice mesage as stated below.  

I just had a man (sounds like the supervisor that I spoke with last week) leave a voice message at work around 11:30am from 202-697-4451 and he stated that he rec'd a fax ordered regarding a civil compliant that was filed against me.  He had been retained to serve me with documents to appear in court either at your residence or place of employment.  If you have any questions or concerns about the complaint or wish to retify the matter outside of court before I am served then please call 202-697-4451 (automated message stated the phone# and my reference#) then the man got back to say that I have been official notifed.

They now call themselves O'Connell, Greenman & Associates.   The lady I talked to said they are not debt collectors they are "mediators".  Right.  Scammer double-talk for debt collectors. They change names every once in a while.   They specialize in the:

1.  You've written a bad check or
2.  You've committed bank fraud or
3.  Charges have been filed against you or
4.  You are going to be served or
5.  You're forfeiting your rights if you don't talk to them,

scam.

I keep getting a call from this number at my job saying something about bank fraud.  

Hi, I have gotten the same message for the past two weeks, I have tried to call them back so I could have some fun, because I know this is a scam because if you are going to be served they don't call and ask you to call back so they can meet you at a specific time and place.

Hope it stops.

Got this number leaving a voice mail at my work threatening a summons in my county for fraud.  Did not leave a name of company or person just a number for me to call and a file number.

I just received a call from this number they left a vm saying that my county was issusing a warrant for my arrest for a loan that was taken out in 2006 she gave amount of 717.00 i was very upset she refused to gine me amny info when she answere she stated her name was sabrina when i called back she said her name was stacy i ask to speak to her manager she stated she is the manager then she told me good luck in court WHO ARE THESES PEOPLE  do they actual get paid for doing this shamful

The call came one message and about two hours later another call. They said in the message that I am being sued due to fraud and that I needed to immediately contact them in regards to the summons that if received would be to late. This is not ok with me and my 71 year old mother had a call just yesterday very similar to this one. She nearly had a heart attack from this call. It is unexceptable and would like the calls to stop please help. They claimed to be a law firm.

I got a call too. I've been getting them for the last two weeks. I have gotten nothing in the mail. Seems sketchy to me. Seems like from other people's calls, it's the same woman and man recorded message and then they automate your name and case no. Typically you get something in the mail before you are served anything and ypu are given 30 days to dispute the claim. This just seems shady. I'm not calling them back just to get yelled at. They need to send me something in the mail.

Harassing job and home stating to be served but need to contact them with information!! If I am going to be served they do not contact anyone they just serve. I had enough of these scammers

this is the sec call this week with the same information that was said to mew yesterday the mas stated that i have been warned and a summons would be delivered to my job
