Called me today, for the first time, 6/1/15 at 10:32AM, EDT.  Interesting to find out that the Teaparty doesn't solicit, over the phone.  I'll have to verify that for myself.  I didn't answer this call (I never do) and they didn't leave a message (no surprise).  Caller ID, as reported here, was Tea Party.  I, personally, have received the following other calls from numbers with caller ID's purporting to be the Teaparty:

678-313-4225  Tea Party

I do ignore it and don't pick up, but I have no way to block the calls. It is so annoying, and the FCC NEVER helps with these robo calls.

They are NOT the Tea Party.  They are nothing but scammer criminals trying to appear legitimate.  You can do what my step-dad used to do....ask them what they're wearing.  Or - you can do what I do.  I pick it up and hang up over and over again.  They did leave a message once about my owing the IRS and I better call them right now.  That's how I know who they are.

They call at least 2X / day. I answered the first time - nobody there. Do not answer any 202 area code calls. This has been going on for at least 6 months. No message has ever been left. About a year before i answered a call claiming to be from IRS that I needed to pay owed taxes immediately. He told me that they had a car on my street. I knew IRS does not communicate by phone or email so I told him that - he got very angry and threatened my family. I told him to f___ himself and hung up.

Calls again reference IRS, auditing me, etc.

Called and left no message.  I called back after hours using *67 to block my number.  The recorded message identifies them as the "Tea Party Majority".    There is an option for their Do Not Call list (I never do this as it can make the situation worse).  They provide a web page address.  Interestingly, there is no phone number listed on the page's contact info (Is this phone call really the TPM?).  I googled the TPM and discovered that only about 1% of their donations actually go toward helping the tea party.  I'd suggest finding another Tea Party group if you are so inclined politically.
