- LSFor Real replies to Elda| 2 repliesThey have called me on my cell phone twice. Frist time they didn't leave a message. But the phone number appeared in my phone log so I called it because I was curious to see if it would go through. It wouldn't. I just got a call from this number again. I recognized the number and I answered the call.
I must have said Hello 3 or 4 times before the woman spoke...this is pretty much an immediate signal that the call is either bogus or from a telemarketer. The woman had a heavy Russian accent and said she was form the US Treasury. I said, "What? Why are you ?" she said , "This is the US Treasury and you have been selected to receive a $9,000 bonus." !!! What bull! I told her this was BS and to never call me again
These people are obviously looking for suckers who fall fro this crap and no doubt if I had been a gullible person and had fallen for this, they would have started asking for personal info like a social security number, etc.. Don't fall for this it is a total scam. - LSForReal replies to ashleyThat is a shame. Its bad enough these thieves prey on people trying to get there personal information and steal their identities and money, but when they drag underage young people into it and say they are someone's boyfriend, that is despicable.
- sweeney replies to AlfalfaSo the 2026410444 called first told me I would receive a grant from the government and told me to call 2022027381262 told me I would receive 9000 all I would have to pay is 150 when I started laughing the guy says why are you laughing what's so funny? I said the government doesn't give grants especially through Western union then he says are u free tonight? I said why are u asking me out on a date and he replies, I want to f** u. I said what (he had an accent) he repeated I want to f** u I would pay for that. I laughed and said the Lord forgive u sir. That was that. Very funny, but americans aren't that stupid.
- a-non replies to Miss ChickHe asked me what I was wearing.
- jodithey call 2-3 times a day. claiming they are from the us government. i couldnt understand the one person and repeatedly asked him to say things again. he had my name wrong and my zip code when he wanted to continue talking to me and when he said the wrong zip code I told him to remove my number from the list and he said ok, we will call back again. I said NO do not call me again. leave me alone. and yet they still call. It is to the point that I don't answer any unknown number unless it is in my area code..and even at that I dont answer them. If they want to talk to me they will leave a message. they are using up my cell phone minutes.
- MO| 1 replyJust got a call from here. I said hello and they was talking to someone in the back ground, so I said hello hello hello and I finally why did you call me? You don't talk well. They hung up. It's not a valid number, so don't call it. I'm sure it for a gov. grant scam.
- HIM replies to MOJust got a call from these dumb [***]
- Kelsie MorrowI've been getting random calls for weeks so i finally started answering and asking to be removed from their call list. several would hang up when i answered but today it was a woman who could barely speak English i couldn't even understand what she said at first so i said "will you please remove me from your call list" & sheresponded with "why? why shouwd i remoof you from my call leash?"
& then she hung up. i can't wait for them to call again so can tell them to get a real honest job and stop being crooks - daleinazOh, Kelsie, don't encourage them. Just don't answer. When you answer (and especially if you call them back) it just confirms that a live person answers this number. So you win even more of these kinds of calls.
We don't answer the phone unless we recognize the caller *and* we want to talk to them. If it is truly important, they *will* leave a message. (Like if your credit card company calls about a possible fraud charge.) - Hate these peopleHas anybody figured out how to get them to stop calling? They call from all sorts of random numbers several times a day and even weekends. Very annoyed.
- Caller: "Us treasury"
- Call type: Telemarketer

He called me some horrible names, he was very verbally abusive. I told him if another call come from 202-123-1158 I would report him, he was laughing as I hung up on him.

Misteriusly I got disconnected! - s.p. replies to LSFor RealThey called this afternoon. They said that I would be getting 9,000 for having good credit. They gave me a number to call them. They ask how I wanted the money sent. They were trying to get my bank account info,.. Which they did not succeed. Scam..
- Katie| 1 replyGot a call from a scammer while I am on the national do not call list from 203-123-1158. Why isn't FCC doing something about this?
- Call type: Prank
- NiniThey called me SIX times today! Of course I provided no information to them, asked for a manager and they told me to [***] off. I laughed so hard, they asked what I was laughing at.....umm... here in America companies don't allow their employees to tell customers/consumers to [***] off and you are clearly a fraud. That apparently got their panties in a wad and they then started cursing like sailors =P
- NINI replies to KatieI reported my call to FCC, but I am not sure how many others have.
- LynneI never answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. Simply not worth the effort, since most of the time they do not understand what "do not call list" means.
- Wildone replies to CJThe National Do Not Call registry is a joke.. They don't do anything about anyone calling you.
- melissaCalling me everyday. I'm not answering. I figured it was a scam.
