Same as yours. Calling and asked to press 1 if you were the home owner. This wa my home phone and few know the number. I pressed 1 and next they said to please leave a message with name and number....really?? To call back the federally backed refinance blah blah ...So I left the following ' you called my number(###)###-#### and I own my home free and clear and only ask that you take my number off your list or I will bring a federally backed law against you and the con you are backing. That was 10 minutes ago 6/13/2015 11:35 am eastern time.

You bet they do, they only needed the one piece of information, and you gave it to them.  You will be getting future calls in the near future. They not only sell the information the get from these calls but different scams in the future designed to further bilk your wallet.  Good luck, but odds are they have hooked you.

    Do not call
this is a terrorist ring trying to recruit new terrorists.  U.S. Government does not care.  They start off with indicating you did not answer a survey question.  However, the man tells me they are paying a lot of money if we turn against government, be very careful.....Iranian terror ring!

This is foreign speaking people from another country that have entire offices set-up to steal your personal information to steal money from you, file false taxes under your name, and more.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.
ANYONE that calls your home phone number or cell phone number especially askin for you by name do not give them any information at all.  SCAM THAT CAN BE USED TO HURT YOUR CREDIT.  I Suggest you contact Credit Reporting Bureau to get a FRAUD BLOCK PLACED.  I would suggest getting a credit freeze placed on your Social SEcurity Account number.

    SCAM  --- SCAM ----  SCAM

What to say to the scammers...
Whenever you answer the phone and there is no one there immediately, that is a computer calling back to whomever the scammer is.  If you stay on saying, "Hello?  Hello? Hello?" that gives their system time to call the scammer and then connect to you.  So here is what you do:  Answer the phone with ONE "hello"...if there is no one there, hang up immediately, then the computer on their end doesn't have time to call the scammer and connect.  Or, you can do another thing that I do when they do get on the phone...

I speak like a little child and say, "Hello, this is Timmy (or Susie if female).  The police are coming over tomorrow to take me for ice cream and then I'm going to show them where the body is.  You wanna come too?"  I've never had any of those scam numbers call me again.

    Cheers!

Do you think that really works? Seriously? By pressing any number in order to be added to their BOGUS DNC list just adds your phone number to another list that they will pass around. By answering your phone or calling them back or by pressing any number on the key pad, just verifies that your phone number is active and most likely when the best time to call you back.
While I get a lot of calls on landline, by not answering my phone, as I don't answer my phone from numbers that I don't recognize, regardless who it's from, that after awhile, the calls start to taper off and eventually end. My thing is, if the call is important, they will leave a VM and if no VM is left, the call wasn't important to begin with. Even if a VM is left, depending on the message, doesn't guarentee that I will return the call either.

Evidently, this is a robocall that is not programmed with what to do when voicemail is reached.  I got a voicemail that was clearly a recording . . . not a live person, and which started in the middle of a sentence because the recording was playing before my outgoing message was concluded.  It said "even if you are current or late on your payments.  If you are a homeowner, press 1 now to speak to a live agent to see if you qualify for this government aid.  Press 2 if you no longer wish to receive this offer."

Sounds like some kind of loan scam to me.
