So annoying. Same thing. Especially when I'm on my job I have no tolerance for calls like this. Scammers!!!

They have called every 20 minutes for the last three hours, when I answer no one says anything,  I have tried to call back and I get a recording

This number has called me 8 times today, while I'm at work!! Wtf is goin on with these scam calls lately?!?

Called 4 times in an hour asking for information saying I 've been approved for a loan which I didn't apply for a scam and very annoying

This number has called me 10 times within a 2 hr time span. I answered once and couldn't understand what he was saying, possibly another language. He hung up and I got 4 more calls 5 minutes apart, so I blocked the number. I do have family in Canada, but not Manitoba, where the call was from, and they don't call my cell phone, so just super weird and annoying.

Called 3 times now since 720am. I refuse to answer or call them back.

I have the number blocked and the calls go directly to my voice mail. No messages were left from the 6 calls I've received in 3hours.

I ask them not to call several times and they still keep calling

It is Thanksgiving Day and these idiot's have called 5 times in 30 minutes! I do not even know anyone in Canada.

Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocking device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

Google "call blocker" for more information.  There are available apps (some free) for smart phones, and services and devices for landlines.

If you cannot use or afford such a tool, then:

• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service.  Telespammers usually hang up after 3 or 4 rings.

• Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number, and make it more valuable to more spam groups!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete. If the incoming call was important, they would have left a message!

• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scam" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group. (This also works for smartphones).  The spammer will usually hang up before the phone goes to voicemail.

• Another option, for cell phones:  Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers.  That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact!  You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number!  (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers).

Called me 17 times today, loan scam. Don't answer.

Answered the call and said "Officer Briggs" They asked for me by my real name, and I said "this is officer Briggs who is this" and they hung up and have not called back.

This number keeps calling my phone harassing me if you can't stop this number from calling me I will give this number to the police, thank you.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Did me the same way this morning i just blocked them but they are still trying to call.

So they called me only once atm but I checked in here and there is no point in contacting police it's out of there jurisdiction guys/gals just block the number and continue on

keep calling me. many times during the day. when u call the number back, its a non working number. SURPRISE!!!!!! can we stop this somehow?
