Someone called from this number to threaten me with a law suit from the IRS

Common IRS scam.  Originates in India and Pakistan.  I am an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (Inactive).  I can tell you that the iRS does NOT file lawsuits and does NOT initiate contact by phone.  US mail only.  Ignore and block these calls.

Called back and they claim they are the "internal revenue service" . I asked why they keep calling me. She said, "this is the internal revenue service how can I help you"? I said, " why do you keep calling me? " they hung up.

I got the same message. At first, they called me with +20 62 014322 (Washington), thought it was European. Listened to the voice mail and it was the 'IRS' threatening me with a lawsuit. I did not call them back. Instead I called the office that did my tax preparation and found out this is a scam. The IRS will contact by USPS only, never a phone call. I then blocked the number. A short time later I received abother call, this time from 1-206-201-4332 (Washington) Looked like a normal US phone number. This time no voice mail. I blocked this number as well.

This number claimed to be the IRS and threatened me with a lawsuit.  I want them blocke.

Two calls in one day. I must be some bad ass outlaw if they want me so bad. I feel sorry for the poor old souls who don't know this is a scam and are scared out of their minds. There ought to be a special place in hell for slime bags  like this.

So I in turn have called this number 800 times today alone in process harassing them back they talk sometimes and now she is down to please stop calling me lol

Getting harassment calls

I heard about this scam a few weeks ago & now I've gotten the call. Woman's recorded voice saying IRS has filed a lawsuit against me. Preposterous notion to begin with & an obvious scam. So infuriating!

Out of all the "call types" listed here, there isn't one for SCAM? Unbelievable. What's the point of this site?

I got a recorded call from this number  206-201-4322 .  The recording call said that I have done wrong doing to the IRS.

I'v been called twice today and the message is just a robot recording of a woman telling me to call back immediately. Thanks to you all I will ignore and delete (especially since I haven't even done my taxes yet – what do they have to be mad about?)

Usual basterds for IRS scam

Fake irs lawsuit call. Did not answer. They left lawsuit threat on vm.

So, since I'm retired with too much time on my hands, I decided to turn this into entertainment.  Here's what I did.  After their 3rd call to me I recognized the caller ID.  So, I recorded their message.
As often as I feel like it, maybe 5 to 10 times a day, I call them and play their message back to them.  It's gotten to the point where I can now here them screaming, "Please stop calling us!"
Give it a try, they deserve it!!!

This is not the real IRS though. These are extortion scammers. The majority of these calls are coming out of India and Pakistan.
