This number comes up for any call from Amazon in Seattle. My call was from recruiting.

A call from Carrie Russell seeking address and phone number to send me a cheque ... An e-mail from Dinesh Pawar confirms she is an employee. However, cheque never arrives and the only Carrie Russell I can find is an ebook author whose book is sold by Amazon.  To me, these calls are identity scams from someone who has pirated Amazon.com' s address...
I do have a digi-rights account with mobi-pocket (which Amazon.com bought) and I think they have hi-jacked my account with mobi-pocket

Carrie Russell is in Accounts Payable at Amazon. If you need to contact her, call the main number and ask for her. I am sure she can clear this up for you. It's unlikely that it's a scam, but do reply if you don't get it sorted out.

received a call from this number from Irvin claiming there were charges made to a credit card to amazon and to call back and confirm.  Amazon claims it is false.

This was a call from Amazon recruiting in response to my job application.  It's legit.

Legit from customer service Amazon.com, I had called to speak about ordering bulk gift cards, left a message and this was the number my return call came from

Legit.  Amazon.  I received a call from this number and it was an Amazon employee asking me if I was having any issues loading my apps into their app store.

Legit.  It was from the Amazon recruiter regarding a job position I applied for.

got two calls in the middle of the night during a tornado warning. didn't appreciate it and don't want it to happen again.  NEVER CALL ME AGAIN.............

I really didn't know why they called but I wasn't able to hear them all the five times they tried to me.

Have been getting calls from this number for a while. It is clearly the Amazon phone number but that does not mean the caller id isn't being falsified. Besides, if it really WAS Amazon I think they would leave a message. No message to me means possible scammer

This really is Amazon.com. I went to NAB in Vegas and talked to the people there. This was just a courtesy check up on our meeting there. They even left a message.
