Claimed to be associated with Samsung. Sent code to verify change of my password!

this was the phone number that texted me for verification on Samsung account. Thought it was a bit strange.

I received  text from someone claiming to be Samsung, the text said I have a new security code 611738.

demanded I change my password, unsure how to delete this now that i changed it

Same Samsung texts coming from a actual number and not a short code?

Left a text message saying my new Samsung security code is #####<

text received provided code for password change prompted by me.

Received text message saying they were Samsung and a new security code.  Did not open the message, just deleted it...its obviously a scam.

Got about 3 of these text with different ID verification numbers, did not open text deleted it..it's a scam.

claimed to be my voicemail number and it is not!!!!

Several messages saying Samsung and a verification number, my tablet isn't a Samsung or made by them so I'm assuming it's a scam.

Received 2 text messages with a verification code for Samsung. I have no Samsung devices.

this text claimed to be from Samsung telling me I had to change my password then gave me a code now my phone is not working correctly I feel this is a hacker in the Samsung data base

This number texted with code to change password for Samsung acct.
I called it back said mobile it was a mobile number.

I called my carrier and they said it was a scam number

And guess what? Samsung isn't doing a thing about it. Anybody else notice if you're running a "custom OS" for Samsung? WELL, I am and angel no answers. Also saying I have a network administrator,  which I DO NOT. This is a personal phone, no business use or other people.  SAMSUNG NEEDS TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE!!!!
