Called my cell phone at 3:09pm CT no message

I got a call from this number ... I decided to answer the call to see what they're about = a recording is played instead of a live person - their message states that they will lower your credit card interest rate down to 5.9%.  They want to sound legit by saying that Congress has passed new laws to better protect our rights as a consumer - as part of the economic stimulus program, the Federal Reserve bank pledges to help lower our percentage rates; etc.  I don't know these people to trust them.  If you need to lower your interest rate, call your bank that honored your credit card application - they will hear you out & possibly renegotiate with you.  I don't trust giving an outsider my credit card account numbers!

Did not answer the call and they did not leave a message.

Called and Hit 2...It just hung up on me :( Jerkfaces

Hey I get these calls too. Has anyone ever heard of the "Telephone Consumer Protection Act 47 U.S.C. § 227" mite be able to make some money, and get some payback!  $500.00 and thats just the first offense.  My Telemarketer is real dumb he sends his number (caller ID).

Recorded voice saying it's urgent that I call them to see about lowering my interest rate. I hung up.

This was for a credit card, reduce your payment thing. Dialed 2 and got hung up on.

Message saying I am eligible for new rate on a credit card. My eligibility ends soon. My CC is with USAA and I know what my rate is already so I did not press 1 as the message asked me to do.

fonefinder has no record of this number.  Calling back on a cell phone costs more message units and serves no useful purpose.  Can your telephone provider do anything about this?  Do they care?  What is SMS??????????????????

Report this company to the WA State Attorney General's office:  https://fortress.wa.gov/atg/formhandler/ago/ComplaintForm.aspx.  They don't seem to take a number off the call list until a report is made.

They just called me on my company phone with a recorded message about my credit card.  I just got this phone a month ago and it is definately no attached to any credit card.  Total Scam!

Just got a call on my MagicJack phone. Left no message. Called back and heard a recording and hung up.

it is a Seattle area code but there is no 445 prefix in Seattle.  My call came in on my cell phone and I was on another call.  I went to it without looking. Kaching.

Got a phone call this morning, did not recognize so I did not pick up.  After finding this site I called back and pressed 2 during a recorded girl talking and it hung up on me.  I hope that works and they don't call back.

To me it's obviously a scam. I say this because I am on the national "do not call" list, and any official and legit company would be breaking the law by telemarketing to me.

Since they have called me repeated times, they have no concern for the do not call list.

That's why I say it's a scam.

I will say i never got the calls until I got my first debit card with Citi. And citi used to do aLOT of telemarketing. I know cuz it used to be my job. So I wonder if this is because I use that bank. If not, then it is definitately a scam.

If enough people complain about it to the gov, then they'll investigate it
